ON EXPORT CHECK PRICES OF SAND, WOOD AND RATTAN
FOR THE APRIL 1 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2004 PERIOD

in Jakarta
Since the validity period of Export Check Prices (HPE) of sand, wood and rattan for the January 1
through March 31, 2004 period will expire soon, the new HPE of sand, wood and rattan for the April 1 through
June 30, 2004 period are stipulated (enclosed).
We need to inform that Export Check Prices (HPE) of wood, rattan bark and rattan of other kinds for the
April 1 through June 30, 2004 remain unchanged and HPE of all rattan remain the same as the highest HPE of
the respective groups of rattan, compared to the previous period. HPE of polished rattan is stipulated on the
basis of the average prices of the respective groups of rattan, HPE of rattan core is stipulated the same as the
lowest price in the previous period.
In relation thereto, we request for your assistance to inform it to Customs and Excise Service Offices
throughout Indonesia as the basis for stipulating export tax on the said commodities.
We highly appreciate your assistance and cooperation.
