ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to determine differences self-regulated learning among regular students and acceleration students on student of class VII in SMPN1 Salatiga. In this study, sample consisted of 14 respondents regular students and 14 respondents acceleration students. Data collection techniques in this study conducted by distributing questionnaires. Data analysis techniques in this study using the validity and reliability test, assumptions test, descriptive analysis and Chi Square test. Based on the research results, obtained value of χ2 count amounting 28,000 with df 12 or χ2 table value amounting 21.026 (χ2 count > χ2 table) and significance level at 0.006 <α (0.05) which means that there is a difference self-regulated learning between acceleration students and regular students at SMPN 1 Salatiga. In this research, the average value of self-regulated learning in accelerated classes higher than in regular class. Implications of this study are expected to teacher SMPN 1 Salatiga in order to maintain students self-regulated learning of students through teaching that can motivate students.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaaan self regulated learning antara siswa akselerasi dan siswa reguler pada siswa kelas VII di SMPN 1 Salatiga. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 14 responden siswa kelas reguler dan 14 responden kelas akselerasi. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan angket. Teknik analisa data dalam penelitian
ini menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas, analisis deskriptif dan uji Chi Square. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka didapatkan nilai χ2 hitung sebesar 28,000 dengan df 12 atau nilai χ2 tabel sebesar 21,026 (χ2 hitung > χ2 tabel) dan nilai sig sebesar 0,006 < α (0,05), artinya bahwa ada perbedaan self regulated learning antara siswa akselerasi dengan siswa reguler di SMPN 1 Salatiga. Dalam penelitian ini nilai rata-rata self regulated learning kelas akselerasi lebih tinggi daripada nilai rata-rata self regulated learning yang diperoleh kelas regular. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah diharapkan guru SMPN 1 Salatiga agar dapat mempertahankan self regulated learning siswa melalui pengajaran yang dapat memotivasi siswa.
