Summary

A YEAR WITH ALMOST NO DRY SEASON

Jakarta, Mar 18, 2010– PT Sampoerna Agro Tbk. "“a poe a Ag o" o the Co pa y eleased its audited financial and operational results for full year 2010.

The year 2010 was challenging to the oil palm industry in more ways than one, though most of it was the result of unfriendly weather. The weather throughout 2010 was far from sunny. In fact, our oil producing areas located in South Sumatra and Central Kalimantan received rains virtually throughout the year, making it a year with almost no dry season. Our Kalimantan estates saw 90% more rain in 2010 than the previous year while rainfall in our Sumatra estates even exceed an already extensive rainy year of 2009 by 15%.

Despite worse weather conditions persisting throughout 2010, Sampoerna Agro managed to harvest 1.37 million tons of FFB, 14% higher than the previous year, on improved water drainage system in Sumatra estates. Fourth quarter of 2010 came out to be the peak producing quarter of both regions. Sumatra estates produced 13% more FFB in fourth quarter over third quarter while Kalimantan estates production was up 33%. This resulted in 15% year-on-yea yoy p oductio g o th fo “u at a a d 7% g o th fo Kalimantan.

Overall CPO output in the fourth quarter of 2010 also climbed by 25% over third quarter. In total, the Company produced 288,885 tons of CPO in 2010, 9% higher than 2009, even with reduced OER as a result of more rains. MPOB published data indicated that Malaysia produced 8% less CPO in the fourth quarter versus

p e ious ua te , esulti g a % dip o total CPO output of the cou t y i o e 9’s.

Responding to the reduced supply in the fourth quarter 2010, market price of CPO recorded by MPOB soared 24% quarter-on- ua te o to averaged RM3,268 for the period. As a result, average CPO price for the whole of 2010 was RM2,748, or 22% higher than 2009. Sampoerna Agro managed to sell its CPO with an average of Rp7.12 million per ton in 2010, 16% higher than Rp6.11 million per ton booked in 2009.

In financial terms, Sampoerna Agro booked additional revenue of Rp942.42 billion within the last three months of 2010, or 51% qoq growth. As a result, Company revenue in 2010 amounted to Rp2,311.53 billion, up 27% from the Rp1,815.56 billion recorded in full year 2009, on a 16% improved average selling price compounded with 4% increased sales volume of its CPO. CPO is the main revenue contributor to the Company which generated Rp1.95 trillion in 2010, or 84% of the overall company revenue. Approximately 90% of these revenue from CPO was generated by selling within domestic market.

With regards to expansions happening in 2010, the Company added approximately 8,435 ha to its planted area that totalled 102,779 ha (including plasma estates) by year end 2010. Approximately 1,733 ha of these new additions were obtained through an acquisition deal that is located within its existing area under development.
