Beberapa Kasus SDM
http://www.unisosdem.org
(2011)
• Keputusan produsen Blackberry, Research in
Motion Company (RIM) untuk membangun
pabriknya di Malaysia, dengan
alasan
membutuhkan pekerja yang lebih
profesional serta memiliki
skill
teknologi
yang dibutuhkan
. Padahal Indonesia mampu
menyerap 4.000.000 produk Blackberry dalam
setahun. Kasus ini membuktikan bahwa
ketidaksiapan dalam menghadapi tuntutan skill
industri multinasional membuat Indonesia hanya
dijadikan sebagai
negara berorientasi pada
konsumsi
, bukan sebagai negara yang
memiliki orientasi produksi teknologi.

•
Ketika pabrik-pabrik berdiri di Indonesia, entah secara
temporer atau permanen, pengangguran di Indonesia yang
berkontribusi terbesar atau 60% dari total pengangguran di
wilayah ASEAN hanya dapat menempati posisi sebagai
buruh
kontrak atau outsourcing.
Ini merupakan sebuah
ironi, ketika pemimpin negara dan pembuat kebijakan
ekonomi menyambut MEA dengan tangan terbuka, ada
berbagai aspek yang belum dipersiapkan secara matang
seperti
pasar bebas tenaga kerja yang akhirnya
menempatkan Indonesia sebagai negara penghasil buruh
terbesar di ASEAN
, bukan sebagai negara penghasil tenaga
kerja yang memiliki
skill
serta dapat bersaing dengan pekerja
migran asal negara lainnya. Kondisi ini bukan hanya
menimpa tenaga kerja yang ada di Indonesia, tapi juga
tenaga kerja di Malaysia yang kini bernasib sama seperti
buruh, bahkan diperlakukan dengan martabat yang lebih
rendah dari pembantu rumah tangga.
