Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih terdapatnya nilai mata pelajaran IPS yang belum memenuhi Kriteria Kentutasan Minimal (KKM) yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya siswa dalam mengerti dan memahami mengenai mata pelajaran IPS tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan biaya pendidikan dan motivasi belajar siswa dengan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 11 Bandung. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 211 siswa dengan sampel sebesar 138
siswa yang diambil dengan menggunakan Teknik Random Sampling. Metode yang digunakan
survey explanatori dengan menggunakan angket atau kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpul data. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Statistik Non Parametrik yaitu dengan Korelasi Ranking Spearman yang didasarkan atas ranking (peringkat). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biaya pendidikan memiliki hubungan positif dengan motivasi belajar siswa sebesar 0,339. Motivasi belajar siswa memiliki hubungan positif dengan hasil belajar siswa sebesar 0,259.

THE RELATION OF EDUCATION COST AND STUDY MOTIVATION WITH THE RESULT OF STUDENTS STUDY

The problem in this study is motivated by the presence of the unachieved mark of social studies subject, which has not fulfilled the minimal mastery criterias (KKM) that resulted by the lack of understanding and comprehending of it. The aim of this study is to know the relation of education cost and study motivation with the result of students study of Social studies subject of Class XI IPS in SMAN 11 BANDUNG. The population of this research is 211 students that is the bigest samples are 138 students taken by using the sampling random technique. The method used is explanatory survey by using the poll or questionnaire as the tool to collect the data. The data analysis technique uses non parameric statistic which is the correlation of spearman ranking based on the rangking (level). The result of this research that the education cost has positive relation with the students study motivation about 0,339. Students study motivation has postive relation with the result of students study about 0,259.
