CHAPTER I INTRODUCTION
A. Background of Study
The babies were born, neither with something empty ,nor doing as a
human religious. But babies were born as human who viewed from
perspective, not psychiatric. There are also who held that the son, since born
to bring the creation of religious. The design of god new serves in the future
through a process guidance and training after being in maturity stage (Mansur,
2005: 46).
In order to detect potential maximally and positively, someone need the
process of development potentialy which capable to produce to be human
digital significantly. The process which capable to change the human down to
the level cells of DNA. A process to joining forces IQ, EQ, and SQ in an
ingeniously, scientificly, and effectively (Sentanu, 2007: 1).
It can be achieved by the right education to produce human intelligence
or human ability in a balanced way among the Intelligent Quotient (IQ),
Emotional Quotient (EQ), and Spiritual Quotien (SQ) (Sentanu, 2007: 22).
Education which not only sharpen the cognitive aspects of intelligence,
but also take in the akhlaq values of learners. So there will not happen akhlaq
corruption, mental deterioration and destruction nations, that is caused by the
generations who are actually smart, potentially and highly educated, but they
are less in akhlaq.
Nowadays, some of the cases reveal that many teenagers scribble their
uniforms after their graduation (high school), fight, desperation or
hopelessness, dissipate, skip school, less appreciate, excessive complain,
prejudiced, are not confident, even in a real action in the form of suicides or
dropping out of school. Some of them are also willing to sell themselves to get
some money they want, or do all a way to achieve their glory in the
neighborhood where growing, without considering good, bad and the impacts
that were produced. It sometime makes a person being less grateful,
impatienting for trials, blaming fate and imagining an unreal life without a
positive effort.
In order to form a generation which have a high knowledge and a good
character, Islamic education comes to teach akhlaq with the presence of the
Prophet Muhammad. Then the goal of Islamic education itself is not static, but
it is a whole of the intelligence and personality of a person, by the way make
a human beings as a whole physical body through the teaching and cultivation
of akhlaq, so that is in Islam known as insan kamil (Daradjat , 2011: 29).
Prophet Muhammad SAW comes by perfecting the akhlaq of mankind
to make human being as insan kamil. The Prophet has preached by giving
precepting, gave examples, practiced the skills, motivated, and created a social
environment that supported the implementation of the idea of the formation of
a good Moslem person. In the past, Meccans were idolaters, polytheists,
unbelievers, rude, arrogant, and so on. But then it turned into a worshiper of
Allah SWT, believers, Moslems, meek, and respectful each others. They have
a Moslem personality according to the precepts of Islam (Daradjat, 2011:
27-28).
There is in Q.S al-Qalam[68]: 4.
ٍﻢﻴِﻈَﻋ ٍﻖُﻠُﺧ ﻰﻠَﻌَﻟ َﻚﱠﻧِإَو
“And thou (standest) on an exalted standard of character.” (DepAg, 1969: 960).
The noble character of that can be learned by imitating akhlaq of the
Prophet. Even already described in the Quran which became the holy book of
Islamic religion, that the Prophet Muhammad SAW as a good role model. So
from the akhlaq of the Prophet, it is expected that people may learn, beat out
and imitate the akhlaq in the daily life. So, there will not happen akhlaq
degradation of humanity today.
In order to provide akhlaq in education or habituate good manners,
parents or one who responsible for children be able to create an attractive
pattern of akhlaq and character in formal education, nonformal or informal
education by the way providing books, both fiction and non-fiction which
have relation with akhlaq values or good character, so hopefully there will
grow awareness in the child about the purpose and importance of good akhlaq
in this life. Then as public knows that the one of the best legendary Islamic
reading books or “The Best Seller” book is La Tahzan which is written by
Aidh al-Qarni and translated into Indonesian by Samson Rahman, then
published by publisher Qisthi Press.
The book contains about the values of good akhlaq as the akhlaq that
was exemplified by the Prophet, in the hope that humans increasingly
persistent in the face of life that sometimes is not equal to the expectations of
each individual. Moreover, La Tahzan book by Dr. Aidh al-Qarni is written by
using poetic language and diction that attractive to the reader, so it is not creat
any saturation or drabness.
The akhlaq values that exist, among other is for the people so that be
patient in their life, always be optimistic and be courageous to face their life
without think about the past that was gone, or the future that has not been sure.
It is as the writer of the book wants to convey a deep message that life is the
day when a person is really living at the moment. So it is also time for a
person to think and act for himself and others. As in the following quote:
"If you can drink a cup of clear and fresh water today, then why should you grieve over the salty water you drank yesterday or worry about the tasteless and hot water tomorrow that is not necessarily happen yet?" (Al-Qarni, 2007: 7).
And many more akhlaq values that can be picked in the La Tahzan
book by Aidh al-Qarni, where the writer is interested to examine more about
the values of akhlaq according to Islamic education are contained in the book
be more specifically and clearly are grouped. Thus, the writer tries to use it as

to explain as follows:

Value is valuable thing with the high quality, and useful to human
beings (Zakiyah, 2014: 14).
Akhlaq is etymologically derived from Arabic version “al-Akhlaq”
which the plural of the word is al-Khuluq that means character, behavior
or nature. Furthermore, this meaning is often synonymous with the word:
ethics, well behaved, or polite manners. Thus, the word akhlaq is a word
used to term human deeds that are measured by good or bad. Size of
akhlaq values in Islam is the teachings of Islam itself, its based on
al-Quran and al-Hadith (Halim, 2000: 8-9).
So, akhlaq values is something that is valuable and qualified to be
achieved, which is obtained from the habit (Acts done repeatedly without
consideration).
2. La Tahzan Book
The book is a collection of papers that contain a bound article on
one end of which many people recognize it as a source of unrivaled
science. According to Khaled Abou el-Fadl, book is not just a collection of
meaningless papers, but book is a detailed account of life, past and future
links, and markers of a civilization, because the book contain of wisdom,
skillful, knowledge, historical records, and the twists and turns of the
journey of the human child (Naim, 2013: 66-67).
The book La Tahzan is one of the motivational books which there
are several subjects that provide valuable advice for the readers around the
meaning of life, through the choice of beautiful words (diction) that seems
to illustrate the writer's hope, so that people do not despair of God's grace.

B. Characteristics The Books of Aidh al-Qarni
Books by Aidh al-Qarni take the theme spirit of Islam. Most of his
work is motivational books that refer to the explanation of the Quran and the
hadith of the Prophet. So the works of Aidh al-Qarni contain many values of
life and religion which are then written in poetic language with a choice of
words that do not bore the reader to continue reading on the next pages.
Aidh al-Qarni seems to want to convey messages and life advices
through some of his phenomenal books. It seems that he is anxious to convey
to the reader that God has endowed human beings with a beauty and a blessing
too much that is sometimes unknown to human himself. Al-Qarni in some of
his works reminded human so that they have to be a grateful person, always
be happy and not be obsolete in the human age and the era that changed.
Some other life lessons are also discussed in his book, such as human
relationship with a peer, up to the relationship of human with the Creator.
Messages of life as well as anything to be prepared to face a new life.
In the books of al-Qarni, there is usually a short poem from the earlier
poets, and the words of simile which full of meaning. So it makes the reader
unsaturated to enjoy the book. For indirectly, books by al-Qarni lead the
reader to think and understand the mean of every word that there is no
burdened with them.
C. The Objective of La Tahzan Translation Book by Aidh al-Qarni
In the introduction to the writer, some of the goals of the book La
Tahzan are written, including this book is intended for anyone who always
feels alive in the shadows of anxiety, sadness and disquietude, or people who
are always difficult to sleep due to the burden of grief and increasingly heavy
anxiety.
In this book, the writer also quotes the verses of Allah, the verses of the
epistles of experience and ibrah, the record of events and wisdom, as well as
the various parables and stories which later the writers deliberately draw the
conclusions of the pious people as the antidote of the painful heart, the
comforter the ripped soul, and the self-consolation that is overwhelmed with
grief.
This book is the writer's conscience that is written to motivate the
reader with the sentences, "Cheer up and be happy!" Or "Be optimistic and be
calm!" moreover, he say, "Do what you face sincerity and joyfully!"
The writing of this book also reminds the reader not to be constantly
against the flow of life, against the fate, debate the manhaj that has been
decided and refuse the evidence. More than that, this book invites the reader to
feel confident with the all potential within and save all of the positive energy
that exists. This book also leads the reader that is human in general to forget
the pressures of life, crowded travel and burden travel of life.
There are some important things that the writer pour in this book, such
as:
First, this book is written to bring happiness, calmness, peace,
spaciousness, open the door to optimism and get rid of all difficulties in order
to achieve a more beautiful future. This book is a taping of the heart so that
always remember God’s mercy and forgiveness, be tawakal and be kind
(husnuzan) to Him, to believe in his qadha and qadar, to live whatever
happen, to let go of anxiety about the future, and to remember the blessings of
God.
Second, this book tries to give recipes how to ward off grief, anxiety,
sadness, distress, and despair.
Third, the writer tries to include the arguments of the holy Quran and
hadith that corresponds to the theme of each discussion. In addition, not
infrequently the writers proclaim some good of examples, a story full of ibrah
and contain of valuable lesson, and verses of poems that have the power. In
many places, readers will also find quotes from the words of the best sages,
doctors and writers. Thus, everything that is in this book, invites the reader to
always be happy.
Fourth, this book is general, or can be used for everyone. In short, for
both Moslems and non-Moslems. The reason, in general the discussion of this
book is related to the character and nature of instincts and the general
problems of human psychology. However, this book still places Manhaj
Rabbani as a counselor.
Fifth, in this book the reader will not only encounter quotes from the
East, but also from Westerners.
Sixth, the writer deliberately does not use footnotes in this book to
lighten and ease the reader. Because of it, this book will be a continuous
reading and provide an inseparable understanding. And for that, every
reference to each quote is always mentioned in every paragraph.
Totally there are ten things, from number one to six have been
described and the next number are discuss about the reasons of writing
reference that are not listed as a book in general.
The writer hopes that this book will bring true and honest, fair news in
judgment, objective in the phrase, persuasive in the matter of knowledge,
straight in the point of view and argument, and become the light in the heart.
Thus, in this book the writer tries to speak to the all, who want to live
happily, as is the verse of Aidh al-Qarni;
I put it in it pearls, until it was time for him to shine without sun and walk at night without moon,
Because his eyes are like magic and his forehead is like an Indian-made sword,
Belong to Allah is every eyelash, neck and beautiful skin fascinating.
D. Synopsis of La Tahzan Translation Book by Aidh al-Qarni
La Tahzan book by Aidh al-Qarni contain of motivational sentences for
many people to be surviver in their life. This book presents life's advices in a
beautiful literary frame, so that the delivery of missionary purpose in the book
does not feel compelling. The book invites the reader slowly to know,
understand and execute the good advice that is in it. Positive advice about
akhlaq coaching and its application in everyday life, with the one topic, that is,
"La Tahzan (Don’t be sad)". Dr. Aidh Abdullah al-Qarni who is the writer of
the book, as if has a great hope for the progress of Islamic missionary and the
strength of akhlaqity of youth so that human, especially teenager can be a
strong one.
Humans are often despairing in life that is so extraordinary with the
blessings that God gives to the humans. Humans also often nourish the bad
akhlaq and attitude to the other or the ownself. An example is jealousy and be
ungratitude one. Whereas God has arranged in such a way for the good of
every creature He created. But humans often be careless with all the gifts of
God.
La Tahzan translation book by Aidh al-Qarni actually wanna answer
the humans question about unlegalthing which always they ask. In that
according to them, God is not fair in their life, whereas God has a natural
disposition which by His Great Fair, He was give everything appropriately.
His godsend and calamity is appropriate. Actually its never be more than the
capability of the servant. According to His holy quran QS. Al-Baqarah[2}:
286:
َﻻ
ّﻻِإ ﺎًﺴْﻔَـﻧ ُﻪﱠﻠﻟا ُﻒﱢﻠَﻜُﻳ
ﺎَﻬَﻌْﺳُو
…
"On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear..." (DepAg, 1969: 72).
The book reminds us that human beings are only less introspection.
Unrealized with the favors and the extent of God's forgiveness. Then because
of his reluctant (kufr), humans became negligent to be grateful, and they don’t
tried to be spirit in their life because of they thought were dead, but actually in
the case, their lives had just begun. Besides that, there is so much advices to
people not to be sad and to be dissolved in sadness. Whether it's caused by a
failure, disappointment, or anything else. The book teaches people to always
walk forward to a brighter day as when they looking at the clouds, then the
clouds look glowing. Then if the cloud is clouded and the rain begins to fall,
the people will not despair, be sad or disappointed to the clouds they see.
Because they know, there will be a rainbow that will appear after the rain
subsided.
It will be such is the beauty of life when it is do gratefully,
impregnatedly, and do with a spacious heart. So humans will not be sad and be
sick because of fall into the hole of despair, failure, and excessive pain. Even
La Tahzan translation book not only explain how the akhlaq to God and to
humans themselves, but also there is akhlaq to others. For example, happily in
addition to reducing the burden of the mind itself, it can influence the feeling
of people around. Being patient in insults and bad manners such as envy, rude,
scathing, revenge, harassment and so on, is like a water that can extinguish the
fire. And there are still many life lessons in the La tahzan translation book.
Especially, a lessons about how beautiful is close to science.
CHAPTER III
THEORITICAL DESCRIPTION
A. Akhlaq values
1. Akhlaq
a) Definition of Akhlaq
Akhlaq is deeds performed repeatedly on the basis of mental
awareness without requiring coercion from any party. Akhlaq
measuring instrument is a measure of good or bad deeds according
to the source of akhlaq (Halim, 2000: 13-14).
b) The Source of Akhlaq
There are two sources of akhlaq, namely as follows:
1) Religious akhlaq;
Religious akhlaq is akhlaq that comes from religion or
belief in the unseen like God, angels, and so on. This religious
akhlaq will encourage human beings in relation to God and
others so that a good measure of bad relations will arise
(Halim, 2000: 14);
2) Secular Akhlaq.
Secular akhlaq is akhlaq that comes from the results of
human culture without considering the existence of
supernatural power (God). Good bad measure is based on the
human community that creates culture (Halim, 2000: 15).
c) Kinds of akhlaq
There are two kinds of akhlaq according to Islam, namely
as follows:
1) Sublime or good akhlaq (akhlaqul karimah);
Good akhlaq is a good human deed with a reward and
rewarded rewarded fellow (Halim, 2000: 18).
2) Blamable or bad akhlaq (akhlaqul madzmumah).
Bad akhlaq is a human worth of bad deeds with the
reward of punishment and exclusion from others (Halim, 2000:
19).
d) Characteristics of akhlaq
The characteristics of akhlaq, as follows:
1) Good akhlaq;
There are three kinds of good akhlaq, they are: akhlaq to
Allah SWT; akhlaq to peer or human; and akhlaq to the other
human (Halim, 2000: 43).
In more detail will be explained as follows:
(a) Good akhlaq to Allah;
Good akhlaq to Allah, in the principle is a total
servitude of the servant to Him. The forms of akhlaqul
karimah to Allah SWT, among others as follow:
(1) Recognize Him well and correctly;
The proverb says that do not know is not love.
So, is the relationship of the creature (human) with God.
The more people know Him, the more likely for him to
be martyred to Him. One of the way to know Him is by
reading His verses, both the verses of Qauliyah or
Kauniyah. The more reading, the deeper the human
recognize Him.and the better human akhlaq practice to
Him (Halim, 2000: 44-48).
(2) To Justify His words;
The main source of akhlaq in Islam is the word
of Allah, which we can read in the holy Quran. So in
the way how to behaved to Him, we must justify the
entire content of the Quran. There is no other truth that
contradicts the truth of His word. His commandments
and restrictions, must be the right truth. So trusting the
truth of His word, is a form of good akhlaq to Him.
While doubting his word in the form of the holy Quran ,
its mean does not have a good akhlaq to Him. Even
Allah Almighty, at the beginning of the holy Quran has
said about the truth of the Quran which there is no
doubt in.
His verse in QS al-Baqarah [1]: 2 which is as
follows: (Halim, 2000: 49- 50)
ِﻪﻴِﻓ َﺐْﻳَر ﻻ ُبﺎَﺘِﻜْﻟا َﻚِﻟَذ
…
"This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt..." (DepAg, 1969: 8).
This statement is expressed by the letters Laa
which in Arabic grammar is called Laa allatii linaafyil
jinsi (Laa letters used to deny/ negate all types
contained in the next word). That’s all kinds of doubts
is not exist in the Quran. There is only the truth. Then
besides the Quran, there is also a hadith Qudsi which is
equally communicated to the Prophet to be taught to
mankind (Halim, 2000: 51).
(3) Obedient (Keep the commandments and go away
from His prohibitions);
The real form of akhlaq to Allah SWT, basically
lies in our obedience in carrying out all orders and go
away from all his prohibitions. The command and the
prohibition must be true and solely for human to live
properly (Halim, 2000: 52).
Obedience to the His commands and go away
from His prohibitions, can be called the one of good
akhlaq because the action is repeated continuously and
sustainable and the value is correct (Halim, 2000: 53).
(4) Love Him ;
Love is one of the forces that can move a person
to do anything which is liked by the loved ones.
Something heavy will be light for the loved ones.
Especially if the love is addressed to the All-Loving
(Allah). It will undoubtedly be willing to do anything
for Him whole heartedly as a form of the realization of
love in the hope of getting a love back from Him
(Halim, 2000: 54).
The man whose his love for God is unanimous,
he will do or not everything just for the sake of God.
Hates and loves because of Him and is motivated to do
anything or not to do just because of Him. Thus, will be
more perfect the faith of one and be more obvious of his
akhlaq (Halim, 2000: 57).
(5) Always remember Him and praise to Him;
Remember to Allah SWT, is the principal of
good akhlaq. In the Quran is mentioned more than 17
times, as in holy Quran al-Ahzab [33]: 41 as follows:
اًﲑِﺜَﻛ اًﺮْﻛِذ َﻪﱠﻠﻟا اوُﺮُﻛْذا اﻮُﻨَﻣآ َﻦﻳِﺬﱠﻟا ﺎَﻬﱡـﻳَأ ﺎَﻳ
“O ye who believe! Celebrate the praises of Allah, and do this often." (DepAg, 1969: 674).
Always remember to God, make all human
activities be more restreined. Thought, heart and deed
will be more controlled. Human will be more motivated
to obey His commands and go away from His
prohibitions and be ashamed of abandoning His
commands and violating His prohibitions, for his
presence is always inherent in the hearts and minds of
one (Halim, 2000: 58).
Praising God is a must for every good servant.
The true nature of all praise belongs to God absolutely.
No praiseworthy praise is given to compliment Him. In
the Quran found no fewer than 23 verses stating that the
praise is absolute belongs to Allah, with the same
sentence, that is: (Halim, 2000: 60-61)
ِﻪﱠﻠِﻟ ُﺪْﻤَْﳊا
“Praise be to Allah" (DepAg, 1969).
(6) Emphasizing Him;
Embracing God is the most fundamental form of
akhlaq for the creature to the Creator. To insist on Allah
is to believe whole heartedly that nothing at all is
worthy of any addition to Him. Life totally only to be
dedicated to Him. Recognize the omnipotence of God
and actualize the confession in daily life, so that belief
is deeply rooted in heart. Then be vigilant in controlling
the conscience. Do not let any other loop that is seen to
be God's, such as work, position, money, or others
(Halim, 2000: 67).
Believe in the existence of God and believe in
His essence is a duty to every moslem. In the Quran Q.S
al-Kahf [18]: 110 is described as follows:
"I am but a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your Allah is one Allah. whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner. " (DepAg, 1969: 460).
(7) Husnudzan to Him;
Humans do not escape from the habit of
prejudice against all things that face. Prejudice is
divided into two: good prejudice (husnuzan) which
gives rise to love, and bad prejudice (suudzan) which
gives rise to hatred (Halim, 2000: 68).
Concerned of human relationship with Allah
SWT, man should be prejudiced to Him even though
faced a failure in life because sure that Allah will give
the best of the wisdom (about qadha and qadar) for
every servant. If it has been done, surely human will be
more spacious and be happy more to live in the world,
and apart from the complexity and distress (Halim,
2000: 69-70).
(8) Ridha to Him;
Ridha shows the strength of one's faith in God,
in addition to showing his maturity of reason and
wisdom. Then the sign of rida to the qadha of Allah is
the creation of peace of mind in the laws of God and
surrender everything to Allah (Sayyid, 2006: 323).
(9) Gratitude or be grateful for His favors;
The gift that God grants to His creatures is
abundant. God gives His gift indiscriminately.
According to Ibn Qayyim, a prominent scholar,
explaining that the essence of gratitude to God is
reflected in the following three points: God's blessing
on the tongue of the servant in the form of praise and
confession, embedded in the heart in the form of
testimony and love and there in the body in the form of
obedience and obedience (Salamulloh, 2008: 18).
(10) Tawadhu' to Him;
Tawadhu’ is usually translated by humbling.
Actually, the word tawadhu' comes from the word
wadh'a which means location or place. And after being
formed into tawadha'a with the benefit musyarakah
bainal itsnaini fasha'ida, means to put each other. Then
the noun (masdar) is tawadhu' which means the name
of mutual act of putting or putting each other. Thus,
what is meant by tawadhu' to Allah means putting each
other, the precise position of God as God where human
servant, and man as a servant, then human must submit
(respect) to Him, then refined with the term degrading
attitude to Him (Halim, 2000: 83-84).
(11) Believe in God;
Holy Quran teaches that Islam is a religion of
peace, so that its distribution is done in a peaceful way.
Then in Islam is also taught that Moslems need to strive
to achieve the desired and expected and have to believe
in Him as always. Believe that He is Seer, Hearing, and
Knowing (Khan, 2016: 174).
(12) Worship to Allah SWT;
Worship etymologically, means submission and
humbling. As terminologically, worship is obedient to
God by carrying out his commandments delivered
through the spoken of His messengers or humbling
himself to God accompanied by a high love
(mahabbah) to Him. There are three division of
worship, namely worship qalbiyah, lisaniyyah, and
badaniyah (Salamulloh, 2008: 4).
Worship is generally divided into three, namely
as follows:
(a) Qalbiyah worship (worship associated with the
heart), such as: afraid (khauf), hope, love
(mahabbah), tawakkal, happy (ragbah), fear
(rahbah);
(b) Lisaniyyah worship (worship related to oral), such
as: tahlil, tasbih, tahmid, takbir;
(c) Badaniyyah worship (worship associated with limbs
or physical), such as: praying, zakat, hajj, jihad and
so on.
Although none as good as the Messenger of
Allah in worship, both of quality and quantity, but
Moslems should follow the meaning of the prophet,
which is said "The Prophet is very fond of worship, to
the extent that his feet look swollen because often
standing for worship. At the night, he spending time to
munajat, crying, looking for His forgiveness, and
praying. Then the Prophet asked him, 'O Messenger of
Allah, do not you have sin?, then for what you do
worship, prayer, istighfar and all this?, Muhammad
replied: Do I not have to thank Allah SWT, for all the
favors which He has given me?'. Glory be to Allah Who
Created the Person as the Prophet Saw." (Journal, 2012:
106-107).
(13) Zuhud;
According to the language of zuhud means to
renounce the world. According to the term tasawuf,
zuhud means turning away and leaving something
cherished material or worldly luxuries by wishing and
wanting something better and spiritually in the form of
happiness hereafter (Multahim, 2007: 25).
The connection with the zuhud, then there are
some characteristics of a person who apply the akhlaq,
for example that is, a person who left the property and
rank to perfect his simply or leave the world and do not
care who took it, someone who looked at the same
between people who praise and who reproach him. As
well as someone whose longing is only to God and who
dominates his heart is the sweetness of obedience
(Yamani, 2012: 439-441).
(14) Tawakal;
According to the language, tawakal is derived
from Arabic wakkala which means to represent or hand
over an affair to another party (Multahim, 2007: 27).
Tawakal according to Dzu al-Nun is khal
al-arbab wa qath al-asbab or shedding gods and breaking
causes. The word khal al-arbab denotes monotheism,
while disconnecting the causes shows charity and its
dependence on God or dependent on God in every
circumstance (Yamani, 2012: 460).
(15) Taubat;
The nature of repentance is summed up in a
sense of regret. The wider meaning of repentance is the
regret that causes the emergence of the intent to correct
the past, to forsake the sin of the present, and in the
future will come with a firm intention to forsake sin
(Yamani, 2012: 439-441).
(16) Qana'ah;
Aa Gym in the book reflection of the heart
management, interpreting qana’ah as a satisfied and
enough feeling, that is feeling the sufficiency and
satisfaction of his property and his world. According to
him, qana’ah is the key to the tranquility of life.
Because one of the causes that makes life uneasy is
self-fulfillment by the love of wealth and the world. The
man who is misled will always feel inadequate for what
he has. As a result, in him are born attitudes that reflect
that he is very far from gratitude to God the Giver of
Sustenance (Gym, 2005: 84).
(b)Good Akhlaq to Peer Human;
Good akhlaq to human basically departed on the
nobility of mind in placing ourselves and putting others in
the right position. Acts that reflect akhlaq towards human,
are as follows:
(1) Following of the Prophet;
Following in the footsteps of the Prophet meant
putting his position as the man which is choosen by
God, justifying his apostleship, justifying his message,
obeying all his commandments and avoiding any
restrictions (Halim, 2000: 89).
Rasulullah is a human choice. The only special
man whose name is aligned with the name of Allah in
the series of syahadat. Then if be compared to other
prophets and apostles, he has a superior position. So it
is appropriate that humans follow the footsteps of life,
especially akhlaqs. However, it is not mistaken, the
fault is deify him as Isa in the religion of Christians
(Halim, 2000: 90-91).
(2) Respect the existence of prophets and apostles;
Prophets and messengers before Muhammad the
Messenger of Allah are the chosen people of God to
whom we ought to exist and we honor their position,
without distinction from one another. It is done because
they are people who are choosen by God and also teach
the message of tauhid. Just as to recognize the existence
of the previous prophet books, namely: zabur, taurat,
and injil which is then perfected by holy Quran (Halim,
2000: 95-96).
