DETERMINING FACTORS OF ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENTS AND ITS IMPACT ON THE

PERFORMANCE OF INDONESIAN BUDDHA LECTURE

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to test; (1) the effect of reward variables on organizational commitment; (2) the influence of leadership variables on organizational commitment; (3) the influence of organizational culture variables on organizational commitment; (4) the effect of reward variables on lecturer performance; (5) the influence of leadership variables on lecturer performance; (6) the influence of organizational culture variables on lecturer performance; (7) the effect of organizational commitment variables on lecturer performance; (8) examines the relevance of organizational commitment variables to be mediator variables of the reward, leadership and organizational culture variables to lecturer performance. The design of this study uses quantitative quantitative methodology, the population of the study was 295 lecturers with a sample of 200 respondents, while the analysis used the analysis path. The sampling technique uses the Hary King nomogram model with an error level of 5%, a confidence interval of 95%, with a sample calculation of 0.48 x total population x 1.195. This study involved Indonesian Buddhist Religious Colleges with a population of 200 lecturers from 10 tertiary institutions. By using the Lisrel 8.80 path analysis the results are obtained: (1) there is a significant positive effect of the reward variable on organizational commitment by 14%; (2) there is a significant positive effect of leadership variable on organizational commitment by 30%; (3) there is a significant positive effect of organizational culture variables on organizational commitment by 30%; (4) there is a significant positive effect of reward on lecturer performance by 26% (5) there is a significant positive effect of leadership on lecturer performance by 44%; (6) there is a significant positive influence of organizational culture on lecturer performance by 48%; (7) there is no significant positive effect on organizational commitment to the

performance of lecturers by 13%; (8) organizational commitment variable is very relevant to be the mediator variable of the reward, leadership, and organizational culture variables on the performance of lecturers of Buddhist Higher Education. From these results it can be concluded that reward, leadership, and organizational culture have a positive influence on organizational commitment and reward, leadership, organizational culture and organizational commitment have a positive effect on lecturer performance.This research provides new findings that (1) organizational culture can be one of the variables in improving the performance of lecturers at Buddhist Religious Colleges; (2) organizational commitment variable is very relevant in improving the performance of lecturers on campus. This research contributes the theory with the name "Buddhist model organizational culture"

ie organizational culture variables become the dominant factor for lecturers in improving lecturer performance.

Implementation of Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling Program Planning Model Assisted by Management Information

Abstract

Implementation of a comprehensive guidance and counseling program planning model assisted by management information systems by holding seminars and workshops in the guidance and counseling teacher deliberation forum. The implementation activity consists of 2 sessions, namely a session to identify needs and a session to prepare a guidance and counseling program.

The purpose of this study is to determine the application of a comprehensive guidance and counseling program planning model assisted by management information systems. This study uses a qualitative design. Methods of data collection using interviews, observation and document study. The results of the implementation are 1) students and the environment are able to identify needs using a management information system, 2) school counselors are able to plan comprehensive guidance and counseling programs assisted by management information systems.

Developing 4SC’s Instruments in line with E-Learning Based Independent Learning Activity Unit

Abstract

Rapid technological development is the mark of the 21st century, competent young people are needed to face changing times. The 4SC’s (Scientific Collaboration, Scientific Communication, Scientific Critical thinking, Scientific Creativity) are skills young people need to be able to face the rapid development of this era. So far there are no 4SC’s instruments available for e-learning based Independent Learning Activity Unit. Therefore, the objective of this study is to produce 4SC’s instruments for an e-learning- based Independent Learning Activity Unit that are valid and reliable. This research and development study consists of 8 steps. The study was conducted on high school students in the Sumenep Regency who were studying with the Semester Credit System. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observations, and interviews. Data analysis were in the form of validity (for content and construct) and reliability tests. A reliability test was done by calculating the alpha Cronbanch value. The results of the study are the creation of valid and reliable synergy assessment instruments. The overall content validity of the criteria is very good and quite good. The results of the factor analysis show that all questionnaire items meet construct validity. The Alpha Cronbach value of the questionnaire was 0.680 with the medium category.

Instruments Sustainable Competencies the Teacher Students in Palangkaraya Peatlands Conservation

Abstract

The degradation of Palangkaraya peatlands must be overcome so that the environment can sustain the lives of the next generation. Education that is oriented towards sustainable development is one solution . Higher education can be an initial laboratory for the development of sustainable development competencies. Students can be agents of building community sustainable development competencies. The development of sustainable development competencies must be carried out continuously through lecture programs so that assessment instruments must be developed. Sustainable development competency instruments that have been developed are related to the context, so measuring instruments must be developed students' sustainable development competencies in the context of Palangkaraya peatland conservation. The Palangkaraya peatlands student sustainability competency questionnaire consisted of five dimensions with 26 items. The questionnaire content validation was calculated by the Aikens V index by seven rater from experts and practitioners who stated the questionnaire content was valid according to the construct. Reliable questionnaire with 15 valid items with three dimensions, namely systemic thinking, strategic, and interpersonal.

Indicators on the antisifative and normative dimensions are similar to the dimensions of systemic thinking dimensions so that the structure does not appear. Sustainable development competencies of prospective teacher students about the conservation of the Palangkaraya peatland can be measured by looking at the dimensions of systemic thinking , strategic, and interpersonal.
