Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of the model Numbered Heads Together with Written Corrective Feedback on the achievement of mathematical communication skills. This study is experimental research. The quantitative research sampling technique is simple random sampling which in this study was taken experiment class used model Numbered Heads Together with Written Corrective Feedback and control class with discovery learning. The research data were analyzed with normality, homogeneity, completeness, and average difference test. The results showed that: 1) The mathematical communication skills of the experimental class students reached standard mastery. 2) The proportion of mathematical communication skills of students learning Numbered Heads Together with Written Corrective Feedback reached a classical completion of 75%. 3) The average results of mathematical communication skills of students who receive learning model Numbered Heads Together with Written Corrective Feedback higher than the average students who receive discovery learning.

Abstract

This is a development research of a learning source based on APOS theory. The role of APOS theory is to facilitate framework constructions of an action, process, object, and scheme. This research aims to evaluate the existence of the learning material based on APOS theory and tests its validity and practicability based on the readers’ responses. This is a Research and Development study. The stages consisted of 5 steps: analysis, plan, development, implementation and evaluation. The subjects consisted of the teachers, the parents, and the learners of Primary Schools, Junior High Schools, and Senior High Schools in Lingga Municipality. The variables consisted of the learners’ autonomies and mathematics connections. The quality of the module was obtained from observation, interview guidance, and questionnaire. The findings showed the current learning source existence had not been oriented to APOS theory. The same thing also occurred in the action, object, and scheme stages. The findings also asserted that the develop module was valid and practical. The module had high validity, and an excellent criteria.

The responses of both the parents and the teachers showed that the module could be used as a learning reference. The learners responded positively about the module since it was concluded that the module was applied for Primary School until Senior High Schools learners as the learning reference .

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic in more than two hundred countries impacted every sector, including education. The pandemic forced schools to conduct online learning, though not all schools, teachers, students, and parents were ready to manage the online learning system. The research was qualitative using a case study, aimed to describe online learning management at Satya Wacana Christian Junior High School in Salatiga. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were validated through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. The research found online learning management consisted of POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating and Controlling). POAC comprised of planning by designing curriculum and information technology instruments, organizing teachers’ teaching and administration tasks, actuating by implementation (i.e., teachers’ In House Training (IHT) in using information technology instruments, designing learning resources and administration, online learning between teachers and students), controlling by monitoring (i.e., supervision, teachers’ journals, class journals, monitoring by school’s committees or parents, program evaluations, school self-evaluations, learning outcomes evaluations).

UNIVERSITAS NEGERI SEMARANG email: [email protected]

Abstract

The aim of this study are to determine the quality of the learning creative problem solving approaching 4C and found a pattern of algebraic thinking ability of 11th grade students in solving algebra problem viewed by disposition mathematics. The study was qualitative research with subject consisting of six students. Learning quality is assessed from the planning, implementation and evaluation stage. The result of this research show that learning creative problem solving model approaching 4C, Students in the high mathematical disposition category were able to solve the algebraic problem from the generalization level, the transformational level until the meta-global level.

Students in the medium mathematical disposition category were able to solve the algebraic problem from the generalization level and the transformational level. And students in the low mathematical disposition category were able to solve the algebraic problem only at the generalization level.

Abstract

The aim of the study is to analyze the effectiveness of Project Based Learning assisted by digital module in increasing students' mathematical connection ability. The study was conducted using quantitative method with quasi experimental design. The study population was the mathematical connection ability of grade XI students of SMK Negeri 1 Kandeman with the mathematical connection ability of students of grade XI TAV-1 and XI TITL as the sample. The result showed that Project Based Learning assisted by digital module was effective in increasing students' mathematical connection ability.

Learning is carried out through virtual meeting. The digital module contains the design of students activities in the implementation of Project Based Learning according to indicators of the mathematical connection ability. The learning activity was recorded and a link to access the recording was shared to students so that it could be used as learning material.
