12. RUMAH TANGGA USAHA PETERNAKAN
Berdasarkan hasil Sensus Pertanian Tahun 2013 (ST2013) sebagaimana tersaji pada Tabel 12.1, jumlah Rumah Tangga Usaha Peternakan (RTUP) sebanyak 12.969.210 Rumah Tangga (RT). Jika dirinci berdasarkan jenis ternak, jumlah RTUP sapi potong sebanyak 5.078.979 RT, sapi perah 141.989 RT, kerbau 355.899 RT, kuda 54.890 RT, kambing 2.728.487 RT, domba 645.561 RT, babi 1.271.494 RT, ayam lokal 6.620.410 RT, ayam ras petelur 29.939 RT, ayam ras pedaging 77.147 RT, itik 786.680 RT, itik manila 263.353 RT, dan lainnya 144.103 RT.
Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil Survei Antar Sensus Pertanian Tahun 2018 (SUTAS2018) sebagaimana tersaji pada Tabel 12.2, jumlah RTUP sebanyak 13.561.253 RT. Jika dirinci menurut jenis ternak, jumlah Rumah Tangga Usaha Peternakan sapi potong sebanyak 4.642.186 RT, sapi perah 135.972 RT, kerbau 204.859 RT, kuda 30.585 RT, kambing 3.057.563 RT, domba 929.086 RT, babi 1.161.360 RT, ayam lokal 6.696.242 RT, ayam ras petelur 40.649 RT, ayam ras pedaging 78.234 RT, itik 469.375 RT, itik manila 460.501 RT, dan lainnya sebanyak 65.152 RT.
Apabila hasil SUTAS2018 dibandingkan dengan hasil ST2013, maka jumlah RTUP mengalami kenaikan sebesar 4,56 persen.
Tapi, jika dirinci berdasarkan jenis ternak, maka beberapa jenis ternak ada yang mengalami kenaikan dan juga ada yang mengalami penurunan. Jumlah RTUP berdasarkan jenis ternak yang mengalami kenaikan adalah kambing, domba, ayam lokal, ayam ras petelur, ayam ras pedaging, dan itik manila. Sedangkan RTUP menurut jenis ternak yang mengalami penurunan adalah sapi potong, sapi perah, kerbau, kuda, babi, itik, dan lainnya.
Secara rinci, pertumbuhan RTUP hasil SUTAS2018 dibandingkan hasil ST2013 sebagai berikut: RTUP sapi potong turun 8,60 persen, sapi perah turun 4,24 persen, kerbau turun 42,44 persen, kuda turun 44,28 persen, kambing naik 12,06 persen, domba naik 43,92 persen, babi turun 8,66 persen, ayam lokal naik 1,15 persen, ayam ras petelur naik 35,77 persen, ayam ras pedaging naik 1,41 persen, itik turun 40,33 persen, itik manila naik 74,86 persen, dan lainnya turun 54,79 persen.
PENJELASAN TEKNIS
1. Data Rumah Tangga Usaha Peternakan diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik Republik Indonesia (BPS RI) hasil dari Sensus Pertanian Tahun 2013 (ST2013) dan Survei Antar Sensus Pertanian Tahun 2018 (SUTAS2018).
2. Usaha Peternakan adalah kegiatan menghasilkan produk peternakan (melakukan pengembangbiakan ternak, penggemukan ternak, pembibitan ternak, pembesaran ternak betina (rearing), dan melakukan kegiatan yang menghasilkan/
memproduksi susu, telur, madu, liur, atau lainnya) dengan tujuan sebagian atau seluruh hasilnya untuk dijual/ditukar.
Khusus pemeliharaan sapi dan kerbau termasuk untuk pemacekan, konsumsi sendiri, hobi/aduan/ lomba, angkutan, perdagangan, lainnya.
12. LIVESTOCK HOUSEHOLD
Based on the result of the Agricultural Census 2013 (ST2013) as presented on Table 12.1, the number of livestock households was 12,969,210 households. If detailed based on the type of livestock, the number of livestock households for beef cattle was 5,078,979 households; dairy cattle 141,989 households; buffalo 355,899 households; horse 54,890 households; goat 2,728,487 households; sheep 645,561 households; pig 1,271,494 house- holds; local chicken 6,620,410 households; layer 29,939 house- holds; broiler 77,147 households; duck 786,680 households;
Muscovy duck 263,353 households; and the others 144.103 households.
According to the Inter-Censal Agricultural Survey 2018 (SUTAS2018) results as presented on Table 12.2, the number of livestock households was 13,561,253 households. If it were de- tailed by the type of livestock, the number of livestock households for beef cattle was 4,642,186 households; dairy cattle, 135,972 households; buffalo, 204,859 households; horse, 30,585 house- holds; goat, 3,057,563 households; sheep, 929,086 households;
local chicken, 6,696,242 households; layer 40,649 households;
broiler 78,234 households; duck 469,375 households; Muscovy duck 460,501 households; and the others 65,152 households.
When the SUTAS2018 results were compared to the ST2013 results, the number of livestock households increased by 4.56 percent. However, if it had been detailed based on the type of livestock, some of them would have been increased while others would have been reduced. The number of livestock households based on the type of livestock that has increased is goat, sheep, local chicken, layer, broiler, and Muscovy duck. whereas the live- stock households by type of livestock have decreased: beef cattle, dairy cattle, buffalo, horses, pigs, ducks, and others. In detail, the growth of the livestock household result of SUTAS2018 is com- pared to the result of ST2013 as follows: Beef cattle fell by 8.60 percent, dairy cattle fell by 4.24 percent, buffalo fell by 42.44 percent, horse fell by 35.77 percent, goat fell by 12.06 percent, sheep fell by 43.92 percent, pigs fell by 8.66 percent, local chick- en fell by 1.15 percent, layer fell by 35.77 percent, broiler fell by 1.41 percent, duck fell by 40.33 percent, Muscovy duck fell by 74.86 percent, and others fell by 54.79 percent.
TECHNICAL EXPLANATION
1. The livestock household data were obtained from Statistics Indonesia (BPS RI) Agricultural Census 2013 (ST2013) and Inter-Censal Agricultural Survey 2018 (SUTAS2018) results.
2. Livestock business is the activity of producing livestock prod- ucts (breeding livestock, fattening livestock, raising livestock, enlarging female livestock (rearing), and carrying out activities that produce milk, eggs, honey, saliva, or other) and selling or exchanging the harvest partially or wholly. In particular, for cattle and buffalo farming, the activities include animal hack- ing, self-consumption, hobbies/animal fighting and competi- tion, transportation, trade, etc.
