Whereas, the Students Alliance has
unanimously decided to have a course in
massaging placed on the school curriculum,
if possible, we, the committee take this method
of bringing the matter before the Board to
consider the advisibility and feasibility of having
the same added to our program.
Whereas, other physical training colleges
are offering courses in this branch: whereas
the Alliance deems it a necessity in our
profession and whereas physical training instruct-
ors are so frequently called upon to massage
their pupils while in training, so let it be
resolved to have this essential subject
included in our courses.

Meeting on March 18, 1911
Present: Turner Stempfel, Fischer, Scherer, Rath and Westing.
Stempfel chaired the meeting.
Last meeting’s last minutes were read and approved.
Upon the recommendation of the Administrative Office, the following decision were made:
1. To assign Allen’s classes to Rath as Allen took on a position in Philadelphia.
2. To have the students participate in the memorial festivities of the Nix Memorial Assn.
3. To have 1, 600 copies of the new catalog printed by Hollenbeck Press.
4. Because of the district gymnastic fest in Ft. Wayne, to hold the Seminary’s end-of-school year ceremony on Thursday, June 15, as several students wish to participate at the gymnastic fest as referees.
The Administrative Office reported that Ms. Irene K. Schoen has left the class.
Owing to the fact that the negotiations with the Culoer Academy regarding the summer course did not bring any results it was decided to hold the same in Indianapolis.
The summer course schedule created by Rath was approved.
Since despite all efforts only insignificant results were accomplished collecting the $10
Guaranty Bills, it was decided to recommend to the National Executive Committee to grant the Seminary $2,500.00 from the federal budget to cover the deficit.
Dr. A. A. Knoch from Cincinnati transferred the amount of $105 on behalf of the Cincinnati gymnastics teachers to the Seminary. The secretary was instructed to convey the gratitude of the Seminary’s leadership to these teachers for their support and good intentions.
Turner Ger. F. Burkhardt from Akron, OH. sent $40 as a full payment of his Guaranty Bills. The
secretary was instructed to express the thanks of the Seminary’s leadership to turner Burkhardt.
Gymnastic teacher Rath offered to put a new ladder as a try-out in the gym. His suggestion was accepted.
The following invoices were pronounced correct and sent on for payment:
Freidenker (Free Thinkers) Publ. Co. 1 50
Cheltenham Press 9 75
Indiana Paper Co. 12 00
Rath (trip expenses to Culo) 5 00
