As an Islamic Institute which has been one of favorite universities, IAIN Metro has vision and missions. His vision was Become an innovative Islamic College of Education in socio-ecotechno-preneurship synergy based on Islamic values and Indonesian. The establishment of IAIN cannot be separated with the history of IAIN Raden Intan Bandar Lampung which started from the effort of elite and religious figures of Lampung Islamic Welfare Foundation (YKIL).
In 1993, IAIN Raden Intan Tanjung Karang was changed to IAIN Raden Intan Bandar Lampung. Moreover, in 1967, the Faculty of Islamic Education and Law was established in Metro City based on the request of Metro society. Analysis of Research Variable
This research was conducted under the Sixth Semester of English Education Study Program at IAIN Metro. The researcher took the student's ambiguity in the translation and understanding of an idiom as the object of this research. Consequently, the researcher decided to observe 11 students' translation at the Fourth Semester of English Education Study Program in IAIN Metro.
Not only get the students' translation tests, but also do an interview on this topic. The purpose of the interview is about translation, e.g. what is translation, what do you think about translation, which one do you like, how to be a good translator, even if they translate in different ways. Data reduction shows the selection of the data that will be analyzed by summarizing and focusing the specific thing.
The researcher took some notes and coded the data to get clearer data.

The researcher also observes the interestingness of translation between English-Indonesian translation and Indonesian-English translation. Based on the data, the researcher found that the student is much more interesting in English to Indonesian translation than Indonesian to English translation. The student feels that he does not have enough vocabulary to translate Indonesian text into English because there are so many different stylistic languages between them.
