March 28, 1966 GIFT TO LIBRARY
The library was recently honored to receive a copy of a beautifully executed piece of research work by Mr. Ivan A. Welborn on the M.M.House Memorial Exhibit of the Birth and Growth of Dental Articulators. In his preface to this two-volume under- taking, Mr. Welborn explains that the extensive dental collection accumula- ted by Dr. M.M. House was given to the Indiana University Foundation in 1962 for the use of the
r.u.
School of Dentistry. This memorial collectioncontains more than 40 different arti- culator models, and it became Mr. Wel- born's "self-appointed" task to identi- fy them. The initiation, pursuit and conclusion of this ambitious project covered the space of many months, un- told hours of labor and extensive travel bet~een widespread geographical locations in quest of his material.
It is an excellent and comprehensive contribution to this field of dental history, and we are deeply indebted to him for contributing this work to our library.

NO TAILS?
My neighbor, who had moved to a retirement home, invited me to visit him. As we were walking down the hall
to his room, I noticed small signs tacked to all the doors. It wasn't until we reached my friend's room that
I had a chance to read one. It announc- ed: "Open House, Tuesday. Formal - -~., Teeth Will Be Worn." (Readers' Digest).
