Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis kesalahan pengucapan pada siswa kelas VII, mengetahui penyebab kesalahan pengucapan pada siswa kelas VII, dan menganalisis solusi untuk mengatasi kesalahan pengucapan pada siswa. Hasil penelitian meliputi jenis kesalahan pengucapan siswa dalam bahasa Inggris yang terdiri dari kesalahan vokal (32%), konsonan (33%), pertama dipengaruhi oleh bahasa ibu (18%) dan kesalahan konsonan akhir (18%). .

Background of Study

However, pronunciation in English is very easy because there are so many mistakes in the pronunciation process. Based on the description above, the researcher intends to analyze the students' pronunciation errors more deeply.

Prior Research

The aim of this research is to find out the pronunciation errors made by the first semester students of STKIP CBN's Department of English Education. Thus, the results of this study are nine types of pronunciation errors made by the subject.

Examples of personal documents are journals and diaries.41 Therefore, secondary data is necessary as a source of data in documentation. In addition, the researcher collected the data of research documents to support the results of the research, which consist of school history documents, school organizational structure profile, number of teachers and students, and a sketch of the school location. In this research, the writer will use an interview as a technique to collect data on English word pronunciation errors.

Data Analysis Technique

Data collection is one of the steps when a researcher collects all the data used to complete the research. In analyzing the data, the first step the researcher took to analyze was to collect data. Collection of research data by observing student assignment documents in the form of English voice recordings containing mispronunciation and conducting interviews to see the use of mispronunciation.

After finding the data, the researcher performs data reduction by sorting and classifying important data in accordance with the research objectives. In the end, the researcher concluded whether the research results after answering the research objectives. Therefore, it can show that data analysis has various functions in the analysis of data, including making meaning to be complete data, to get meaningful results, to describe various reports or to make generalizations, and can calculate parameters.

The results of the students' speaking activities are in the form of dialogues in English on the topic of the taste of food in the Roudlatul Qur'an Metro Islamic dormitory. The above statement which is incorrectly pronounced the first language by ADSM pronounces the first language with dee, while the correct pronunciation is it. d) The form of ADSM errors in the pronunciation of final consonants can be seen in the following expressions. The above statement is pronounced with the wrong pronunciation of the vowels in the AS pronunciation of the vowel with want to be wan while the correct pronunciation in that is wänt.

The above statement is pronounced by saying the wrong English consonant in AS to pronounce the beautiful English consonant pritii while the correct pronunciation is ˈpridē. The above statement is spoken in the wrong first language in AS, the first language is pronounced with parents being parent, while the correct one is ˈperənts. The above sentence is said with a final consonant, which is wrong in AS which says the final consonant with vegetables as vegetable, while the correct one is ˈvejtəb(ə)ls.

Errors in the form of 7 confusion in distinguishing English vowels, 6 errors in the form of errors in some English consonants, 3 errors in the form of errors in changing the conceptual pattern appropriate for their first language, which they have internalized since childhood. , and form errors. The above statement was pronounced in the wrong final consonant with JAF in the pronunciation of the final consonant, where mother was moter, and the correct pronunciation was ˈməT͟Hər.s b. Causes of pronunciation errors of students in the seventh grade. The role of designing the curriculum and determining the material is the solution to deal with students' errors in English pronunciation.

Students cannot understand and practice stress, intonation and rhythm in their English pronunciation. e. Difficulty in articulating English words is a result of the influence of the mother tongue that students use in their daily lives. Thus, the teacher is actually of great importance in guiding students in correcting the English pronunciation errors of the students. If the students are focused on listening to their speakers, they will have great difficulty pronouncing English. The person with program strategy and physical determination is a solution to commerce with the students' mistakes in English pronunciation.
