Skripsi ini berjudul PERANAN KOMUNIKASI SUAMI-ISTRI DALAM MEMBANGUN KEHARMONISAN KELUARGA KATOLIK DI STASI SANTA BERNADETA JERUKLEGI, CILACAP, JAWA TENGAH. Skripsi ini dipilih berdasarkan keprihatinan dimana komunikasi suami-istri keluarga Katolik di Stasi Jeruklegi belum diusahakan dengan baik, serta wawasan suami-istri tentang komunikasi masih terbatas sehingga belum terjadi keharmonisan hidup berkeluarga.
Gereja belum memberikan pendampingan iman dan pengajaran tentang hidup berkeluarga dengan maksimal sehingga umat kurang mampu menghayati hidup berkeluarga sesuai dengan hakikat dan tujuan berkeluarga menurut ajaran Gereja.
Skripsi ini memaparkan persoalan pokok dan keprihatinan akan komunikasi suami- istri dalam membangun keharmonisan hidup berkeluarga di Stasi Jeruklegi, Cilacap.
Keprihatinan dan permasalahan tersebut diperoleh dengan mengumpulkan data-data melalui kuesioner, wawancara dengan Dewan Stasi dan suami-istri yang menikah secara Katolik di Stasi Jeruklegi, Cilacap. Data yang diperoleh kemudian diolah dengan kajian pustaka tentang komunikasi, keluarga dan keharmonisan keluarga.
Suami-istri perlu mengetahui dan memahami komunikasi, pengertian, tujuan hidup berkeluarga, peranan komunikasi serta meningkatkan efektivitas komunikasi dalam keluarga. Mereka bersama-sama dapat mengusahakan komunikasi dan mampu membangun keluarga harmonis yang tidak mudah terbawa oleh arus zaman sekarang, perceraian sebagai trend atau gaya hidup. Mereka diharapkan semakin menghayati nilai-nilai perkawinan kristiani seperti unitas atau kesatuan antara pria dan wanita yang monogam, indissolubilitas atau tak terceraikan serta sifat sakramen perkawinan.
Suami-istri dalam keluarga Katolik di Jeruklegi dalam perjalanan hidup berumah tangga masih membutuhkan pendampingan dari pihak Gereja. Katekese umat model Shared Christian Praxis (SCP) merupakan cara yang cocok bagi suami-istri untuk berbagi pengalaman iman masing-masing pasangan, karena Katekese umat model Shared Christian Praxis berangkat dari pengalaman konkrit peserta yang mengutamakan dialog dan partisipasi peserta. Melalui katekese model Shared Christian Praxis (SCP) umat di Jeruklegi semakin termotivasi untuk membangun komunikasi dan memiliki keluarga yang harmonis.

This thesis entitled THE ROLE OF COMMUNICATION HUSBAND- WIFE IN THE BUILDING IN HARMONY FAMILY CATHOLIC SANTA STASI BERNADETA JERUKLEGI, CILACAP. CENTRAL JAVA. This thesis is selected based on the fact that the husband-wife communication on the Stasi Jeruklegi Catholic families have not been cultivated with good insight about the husband-wife communication is still limited so that has not happened yet harmonious family life. Of the Church has not provided guidance about the teaching of faith and family life to the maximum so that the less people appreciate family life in accordance with the nature and purpose of family according to the teachings of the Church. This thesis describes key issues and concerns about conjugal communication in harmony to bring up a family in the Stasi Jeruklegi, Cilacap. Concerns and problems are obtained by collecting data through quesioner, interviews with the Board of the Stasi and the couple who married in a Catholic in the Stasi Jeruklegi, Cilacap. The data obtained and processed with a review of the literature on communication, family and family harmony.
