Sime Darby has achieved 34 management units in Malaysia and 24 management units in Indonesia as RSPO certified. The total management unit of Sime Darby Plantation Sdn Bhd is 34 in Malaysia, 25 in Indonesia and 1 in Liberia. Preparation to undergo the RSPO certification process is ongoing and Sime Darby Plantation Sdn Bhd aims to undergo RSPO certification by the end of 2017.

There was change of the Time-limited Plan under Sime Darby on 15 April 2016, because the Sime Darby postponed the other certification process. There are social issues that have not yet been resolved by the Serikat Petani Kelapa Sawit (SPKS) Sanggau, but the improvement is underway. Sime Darby informed the progress of the Time-limited Plan, MUTU considered that Sime Darby still meets the RSPO requirement for partial certification.
