But above all, they set standards and established preferences that we, who toil along the well-worn and multitudinous roads of the highway to knowledge and success, can well recognize. And now, as another graduation day is fast approaching, and the class of 1913 helps to swell the number of graduates of this Normal College, may we all join in a greeting that may find an echo in every heart— "All hail the Alumni!".

The Alumni

Class Prophecy

The man who will have such a great honor to wear is the teacher of the Turnverein, whose first name is Larry." And) the moon peeked out from behind a cloud as Lena sighed "yes," with her head bowed shyly. " He's just on a concert tour around the country and as an 80loist she will soon take her first bow."

There's only one more to show me, Before you set off on your annual itinerary.". He's one of two wonderful twins who have come from the town of Schlitz. He's just thinking fit, In the field of music is the place where he shines best,.

And he works on his books and studies with zeal, although he is usually a dub in pedagogy. He is serious, thorough and earnest in his work. Achieving "perfection" is certainly his goal, but he uses too much energy to save.

We direct that our funeral services will be conducted by our friend and well-meant, the Board of Trustees, in the auditorium of the German House in the city of Indianapolis, Indiana, directing only that the funeral will be conducted with all dignity. and splendor of our situation on a university scale. We also leave to them our Senior dignity, which is always transferred to the newly appointed gentlemen of the university world. The organization of the Student Alliance was the result of the desire of the classes of 1910 and 1911 to form a stronger union among themselves.

From the beginning, the Alliance has been an important factor in the life of the school. At its bi-weekly meetings, every student has been free to propose and discuss any matter for the common good of the student body. The aim has always been to create a sense of union and power among its members, to wisely direct the activity of the individual, and to make each member regulate his actions for the common good of the whole.

The Alliance has always remembered the truth of the saying: "Man is essentially a social being". According to her monthly. It is our sincere wish that the work of the Alliance will continue from the next classes and that the Alliance will continue to be "a joint organization of the various.

Needless to say, this committee is a body of insignificant proportions, consisting of five of us. When cut, the cheese showed all the signs of having left the "land of windmills" for too long, so it could not be a fair match for the bread from the Rhineland. Each of us found our name on a chandelier hanging from a red or green string.

Some of the girls were honored to find that their prizes were various household-perambulatory items, toilet sets, cookware, etc. One of the most delightful sights was to see the "dean" twisting and unraveling the mysterious string with so much. diligence like the rest of us. The Valentine's banquet was the most festive of all - it was a kitchen success of sorts due to the fact that Elva Arbuckle is at home in Indianapolis and enjoys mixing cake batter, salads and such, and that the other committee members were "Deutsch" and knew exactly what college girls needed material.

After eating everything in sight we went 'to Europe' and that accomplished, we settled on 'the old sod' and told Irish stories. Outrigged she is with the broad sails of the most useful and dearest intentions.

But as the dawn of our career approached and we began to examine our field of labor and the conditions under which we would be compelled to labor, there came a kind of concern about our unity, a fear of scattering in our ranks and a fear of not following in the footsteps of those who have gone before us. As the social spirit underlies the progress of civilization, so active sympathetic friendship must be the string on which we build our march. If we want to take just one big step forward, we cannot afford to let the natural and healthy struggle for perfection in our Turnvereins degenerate into the bitter rivalry and hatred that was so common.

Instead of being overwhelmed by the spirit we encounter in our societies, let us preserve the spirit of brotherhood that has brought us together in this organization. Let's spread this to our trustees and teach them that they too are brothers in the great cause and are the backbone of the organization for whose success we all strive. We will have enough trouble from the outside, so don't prolong the strife in our ranks.

Let it be our object to establish more generally this safe, sane, and rational system of physical training throughout this great country, and, before we say good-bye, resolve to stand by each other in time of need, to keep in close touch with each other, and to have a general meeting every year whenever possible. Let's show the world what is in our motto "FRIENDSHIP HAS POWER." Goodbye, brother.

The Review

Thus, Apollo is given the opportunity to improve his skills with the lyre under the guidance of the master musician, Father Harwick. Mabel Gipe, who started her life as a nurse, grew tired of the draft and became a militant suffragette. Take her from the men to the island of the Amazons and let her be their trumpet player.

Mercury - The next to enter our realm, great Jove, is one Lillian Hopkin, who has gained a great earthly reputation as an interpreter of the thespian art. Let him descend to the bottom of the sea and there take up the work of teaching the young nymphs and mermaids the basics of grace. Erna Wuesthoff was a ballet dancer of international fame who performed before all the crowned heads of Europe.

I believe we shall put an end to Fate and let her take the place of the first Parcae and cling forever to the threads of life. 34; Gu "Heinemann is the man who is responsible for the success of the new system of physical training.

Our College Ideals

POETRY

And when we're out in the storm And the waves around us swell, ' We'll bless dear old mother's hand. And the rush of morning hopes carries me to the night. But again with the morning mists come the hopes of a newborn day,.

If you find the room very cold in the morning, have him close the window and turn on the heating. If you do put them away, make sure you hang them on his best suit. Ultimately I will find the connection, which for me is nothing other than a vague, broad, indefinable ma of cerebral impression that I have torn away in a compartment, twenty-three in the box, where my normal impressions are located. are gathered and subdued.

Don't stand near Mabel at the gym. while club swinging, unless your life is insured. Don't study your pre-lesson if you think you have a test the next day.
