Alhamdulillaahi rabbil ‘aalamiin, the researcher expresses to the Almighty God Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala or the grace, love, mercy, health, help and opportunity to finish this skripsi, entitled “A Sociolinguistics Study: English Speaking Skill of Generation Z in Coastal Area”, as one of the requirements for the attainment of a Bachelor of Education Degree in English Language Education Study Program in Universitas Maritim Raja Ali.

In the completion of this skripsi, the researcher realizes there are a lot of people who have provided some contributions. In this valuable chance, the researcher would like to express her gratitude and appreciation to all of them.

1. Prof. Dr. Agung Dhamar Syakti, S.Pi., DEA., as the Rector of Universitas of Maritim Raja Ali Haji.

2. Assist. Prof. Satria Agust, S.S., M.Pd., as the Dean of Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji.

3. Mrs. Dewi Nopita, S.Pd., M.Pd., as the Head of English Education Study Program of Universitas Maritim Raja Ali Haji and also the head of the examiner, who give a lot suggestion which helps the researcher to finish her skripsi.

4. Assist. Prof. Dewi Murni, S.S., M.Hum. as the researcher’s first advisor who gives a lot of suggestions, advice, and guidance in accomplishing this skripsi.
