also proposes to hire two Young Professional one each in IT/ICT and Agriculture&
Horticulture disciplines, for itselfon contract basis.2. Details of Research Associate (Asriculture) (One Position)
The objective
of
the REWARD programmeis to
strengthen capacitiesof
national and stateinstitutions to adopt improved watershed management for increasing farmers' resilience and support value chains in selected watersheds
of
participating states. The programme intends to use a scientific&
data driven approach to watershed development planning and monitoring&
maintenance, using RS, GIS and mapping tools integrated intoa
systemof
Land Resources Interventions anda
data portal,to
build decision Support Systems for developing location specific soil and water conservation plans, nutrient and water management etc.lt
intends to build stronger technical and management capacities at national, state and localto
apply these approaches and technologiesin
watershed developmentin
the country. The project haswo
result area (RA) viz.,(i)
Strengthened Institutions and Supportive Policyfor
Watershed Development, and(ii)
Scientific-based llatershed Developmentfor

In

fixed remunerationin
the rangeof
Rs. 50,000/ to 70,000/-per
month depending upon educational qualifications and experience.In
caseof
retiredgovernment officials, the monthly remuneration shall be calculated by deducting basic pension from basic pay drawn by him/her at the time
of
retirement. In addition the retired govt. officialwill
also be paid Transport Allowance per monthnot
exceeding the rate applicableto

5. I)uration of the oositions
The initial term of contract shall be initially for a period ofone year from the date of engagement
or
until further orders, whicheveris
earlier. Subsequent extension (s)or
curtailment,if
any, shall be decided on case to case basis depending upon requirement and performance. These appointments would be on full-time basis and they would not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period oftheir engagement in the said programme.6. Declaration of Secrecv

be subject to the provisions ofthe Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923 andwill
not divulge any information gathered by her/him to anyone who is not authorized to know / have the same. The professionals engaged byNRAA
shall in no case represent or give opinion or advice to others in any manner which is adverse to the interestofNRAA
