Board action: The Board approved that the matter of Krus na Ligas be temporarily removed from the agenda of the Board. He said that the Council should send a signal to all heads of constituent universities that they should be proactive and learn the lesson of the Krus na Ligas experience.

She indicated that since public service is the mandate of UP, it is the University's responsibility to help relocate the affected residents, because the needs of students, especially board and accommodation, are provided by areas such as Krus na Ligas and Fshatrat A and B. The view that UP should take care of the housing needs of the public in general is not part of its mandate. The UP panel determined the parameters that would be acceptable to the UP Community in terms of the decision to sell Krus na Liga.

Board Action: The Board DENIED the request for a prorated cash award for certain employees from the Office of Admissions for the UPCAT 2018 cycle (June 2017-May 2018). The Board AFFIRMED its decision at the 1337th BOR Meeting held on August 30, 2018 to award a cash award of 15,000 Pesos (PhP15,000.00) each to OA staff for the UPCAT 2018 cycle, including the Director and Deputy Director charged for UPCAT Help fund. She was informed that there is still a group of OA staff included in the original list of 65 who have not received the cash reward due to a pending request by the OA for the amount of money to be matched against those who provided UPCAT services for a shorter period to receive less than those who provided UPCAT services for the entire UPCAT 2018 cycle.
Regent Fulvadora further added that the initial list of 65 OA employees for the UPCAT 2018 cycle includes regular employees and job order workers. The job order workers who were hired between the UPCAT period and therefore have not completed the entire UPCAT 2018 cycle are the same job workers listed on 21.

President De Vera said they should set a deadline for NCTS to submit the study. He said the administration plans to create a hawker zone, but the hawkers would like to have consultations first. He said that while they would not want to have uniformed police on campus, UP should coordinate with the PNP to train UP police.
He said that he did not want the name of Sanofi to be attached to UP. For now, he said they shouldn't worry because the order could be delayed until 2020. He said in the private sector they are serious about productivity metrics.
He said he has no problem with increasing the benefits as this would help increase the salary of the administrative staff, but he noted that his decision is limited by the availability of funds. President Concepcion said the CNA incentive could only be financed from six elements of the MOEE savings and they had to show that the savings were a result of cost-cutting measures.
