GOD’S WORDS FOR TODAY (Mt. 25:31-46) The Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew
"When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left. Then the King will say to those at his right hand, `Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.'
Then the righteous will answer him, `Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' And the King will answer them, `Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.'
Then he will say to those at his left hand, `Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.' Then they also will answer, `Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?' Then he will answer them, `Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.' And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
REFLECTION:
Do you allow the love of God to rule in your heart? Augustine of Hippo said, "Essentially, there are two kinds of people, because there are two kinds of love. One is holy, the other is selfish. One is subject to God; the other endeavors to equal Him." Jesus came not only to fulfill the law of righteousness, but to transform it through his unconditional love and mercy towards us.
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, may your love rule in my heart that I may only think, act, and speak with charity and good will for all. Amen.
Prayer of St. Gertrude
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

MIND CRACKLING FOR TEACHERS QUESTION #1
The sum of two numbers is 33. If one is twice the other, what are the two numbers?
Answer: 11 and 22
4 From the GS Science Department:
SCIENCE TRIVIA:
Octopuses have three hearts, nine brains, and blue blood.
Two of the hearts work exclusively to move blood beyond the animal’s gills, while the third keeps circulation flowing for the organs. When the octopus swims, the organ heart stops beating, which explains why these creatures prefer to crawl rather than swim

Mind boggling question is like exercise for our brain. We all get a dose of dopamine when we answer a trivia question correctly. It also helps work out the frontal cortex, the part of the brain that helps process memories. So let’s answer another trivia question given to your class today.

From the JHS Science Department Science Trivia # 2
The /Sardinella tawilis/, which is also known by its common name Bombon sardine or locally known as the tawilis, has been marked as an endangered species since the beginning of this 2019. It is the only sardine known to exist in
freshwater. The tawilis evolved from marine fish after Taal Lake - its known habitat - was sealed off from Balayan Bay during the volcanic activity in 1754.
Since 1998, there has been a steady decline in the catch of this commercially important fish attributed to overfishing, illegal use of active fishing gears such as motorized push net and ring net, proliferation of fish cages, and deterioration of water quality.
