Determination of Uranium in Some Under Ground Water in Hail Area and Study the Possibility of

Decontamination.

Abstract :

This thesis deals with determination of uranium in some underground water in Hail area and studies the possibility of treatment for Uranium removal. This research consists of four main chapters. The first part is The introduction with includes the importance of water and the possible contamination of water from different sources.

It also includes an explanation about uranium regarding its existence, chemical properties and the effect of accumulation of uranium in human body.

Chapter two

In this chapter a summary is given about the previous studies referring to methods for determination of uranium in sea, river and ground water. It also includes the previous studies about removal of uranium from water.

Chapter three

This chapter includes materials, equipments,

samples collection and preparation followed by the details experimental of the procedures. for determination of chemical properties of water samples . and procedures used for determination of uranium in water samples . it also contains procedures suggested for removal of uranium from ground water using bone ash as an adsorbent.

Chapter four

This part includes results and discussion for the obtained results throughout the thesis.
