K i t q u i tinh sinh khdi rirng tren mgt d i t tinh Hoa Binh sir dung i n h vien thajTi radar CO dp chinh xac cap vol sai sd trung phupng khpang 6.5 tin/ha vi,dfl lech ehuan n l u tinh theo ty le vdi sinh khdi rirng l i 23%.

Tp prptect the fprests, the for- est investigatipn data including the forest bipmass is very impprtant. This paper intrpdgces the wcrks of fprest abeve grpund estimatipn using radar baeksrattering data. The experi- ment calculating fprest abeve grpund bipmass in Hpa Binh prpvinee has signifiegnt result with the RMSE ef 6.7 ton/ha, which improve that radar backscattering datg could be the pctentigl data for forest above biomass estimation in Vietnam.O

Assoc. Prof Dr Nguyen Ngoc Lau, Hochimlnh City University of Technology Precipitable water vapor (PWV) in the atmosphere Is essential for weather forecast.

Currently, correct determination of PWV is a big concern to those talking interest in hydrom- eteorology. In this paper, we present the algorithms for determining PWV and then com- pare between PWV derived from radiosonde observation data and PWV derived from GPS data at Tan Son Hoa Station, Ho Chi Minh City The deviations between the two PWV val- ues in this study, are less than 1.2mm. In addition, PWV values changed in accordance with changes of weather on the surveying days.O
