Segala puja dan puji syukur kehadirat Allah SWT yang telah melimpahkan rahmat dan karunia-Nya kepada kita semua. Berkat bimbingan, ridho dan lindungannya, PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII telah melaksanakan aktivitas bisnisnya selama periode 2014 dengan baik.
Pencapaian 2014
Pada tahun 2014, Perusahaan telah membukukan laba bersih sebesar Rp. 6,9 miliar atau 6% dari tahun 2013. Tingkat kesehatan perusahaan sesuai Surat Keputusan (SK) Menteri BUMN RI No. Kep-100/ MBU/2002 tanggal 4 Juni 2002 tentang Penilaian Tingkat Kesehatan Badan Usaha Milik Negara, dan Keputusan RUPS PTPN VIII Tentang Pengesahan Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Perusahaan tahun buku 2014, adalah “SEHAT A” dengan skor 79,49. KPI pada tahun 2014 mencapai 86,30.
Kondisi ekonomi dunia yang mengalami resesi dalam 2 tahun terakhir berpengaruh pula secara sistemik terhadap perekonomian nasional Indonesia. Kondisi tersebut disertai dengan penurunan harga minyak bumi dunia yang sangat memukul hampir sebagian besar bisnis komoditi perkebunan. Dampak yang paling signifikan dialami oleh PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII (PTPN VIII) dalam 2 tahun terakhir, dimana penurunan harga minyak bumi menumbuhkan kembali industri karet sintetis sebagai subtitusi bahan baku karet alam yang berdampak terhadap penurunan harga jual karet alam sangat tajam. Produk karet alam sendiri merupakan salah satu komoditi unggulan PTPN VIII dan memberikan kontribusi ± 30% - 35% terhadap omset perusahaan. Dengan penurunan harga jual komoditi tersebut menyebabkan penurunan omset dari penjualan komoditi dalam 2 tahun terakhir, yang berpengaruh pula kepada penurunan kinerja perusahaan.
Pergeseran musim juga telah berpengaruh pada perencanaan aktivitas kegiatan perkebunan, naiknya suhu permukaaan bumi juga dapat mengganggu pola hidup tanaman yang mengakibatkan menurunnya angka produksi. Perubahan iklim yang tidak terprediksi menjadi tantangan yang menimbulkan Kendala yang dihadapi selama tahun 2014 terhadap komoditas - komoditas pokok.

All praises and gratitude to Allah SWT who has bestowed His mercy and gift to all of us. Thanks to His guidance, blessing and protection, PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII has been carrying out its business activities during the period 2014 well.
Achievement in 2014
In 2014, the Company has posted a net profit of Rp. 6.9 billion or 6% from 2013. The company’s health level in accordance eith the Decree of Minister of SOEs No. Kep-100/MBU/2002 dated June 4, 2002 on the Health Level Evaluation of State-Owned Enterprises, and the decisions of Shareholders of PTPN VIII on Ratification of the Work Plan and Budget for fiscal year 2014, is "HEALTHY A" with a score of 79.49. KPI in 2014 reached a score of 86.30.
The world economy condition that have been in recession for the last 2 years has also systemically affected the national economy of Indonesia. The condition is accompanied by a decline in world oil prices which is a hard hit for most of the plantation commodities business. The most significant impact is experienced by PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII (PTPN VIII) in the last 2 years, with a decrease in the price of oil regrow synthetic rubber industry as a substitute for natural rubber raw materials affecting the decline in selling prices of natural rubber that is very sharp. Natural rubber product itself is one of the leading commodities in PTPN VIII and contributes ± 30% - 35% of the company's turnover. With the decrease in the selling price of these commodities caused a decrease in turnover from the sale of commodities in the last 2 years, which also affect in the decline in the company's performance.
The Season shifting also has an effect on the planning of plantation activities. Rise of the temperature of the earth surface can also interfere with the pattern of plant life which results in lower production figures. Unpredictable climate change is a challenge that raises obstacles during 2014 faced by the main commodities.

Prospek Usaha
Ditengah persaingan global yang semakin ketat, Perusahaan akan terus meningkatkan mutu hasil produk dengan tetap mengedepankan efisiensi pemakaian biaya, sehingga keberlangsungan operasional perusahaan akan berjalan sesuai dengan arah pengembangan (roadmap) yang telah ditetapkan yaitu masa pertumbuhan awal. Direksi berkeyakinan melalui peningkatan kompetensi karyawan, pengembangan usaha, dan mengoptimalkan sumber daya yang ada, perusahaan akan terus tumbuh dan berkembang. Dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja korporasi, manajemen telah melakukan langkah-langkah perbaikan internal diantaranya perbaikan kualitas produk sesuai selera pasar. Disamping itu untuk meningkatkan pemasaran, Perusahaan akan memperbanyak penjualan melalui Free Sales untuk mendapatkan harga yang relatif lebih tinggi selain kepada PT KPBN. Untuk Industri Hilir Teh, upaya Perusahaan adalah meningkatkan distribusi dengan menambah distributor yang lebih kompetitif dan mempunyai sasaran pasar yang tepat.
Penerapan Good Corporate Governance
PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII berkomitmen untuk melaksanakan, membangun, mengevaluasi, mengembangkan serta meningkatkan proses tata kelola perusahaan guna memastikan tercapainya tujuan perusahaan sesuai prinsip - prinsip GCG dan sesuai Peraturan Menteri BUMN Nomor : PER-01/MBU/2011 tanggal 1 Agustus 2011 tentang penerapan Tata Kelola Perusahaan yang baik (Good Corporate Governance) pada Badan Usaha Milik Negara.
Tata kelola perusahaan yang baik menjadi landasan yang kuat dalam mewujudkan perusahaan yang tangguh, unggul dan bermartabat serta mampu menjawab perubahan lingkungan bisnis dan persaingan dunia usaha yang semakin kompetitif, serta meningkatkan nilai perusahaan bagi seluruh pemangku kepentingan perusahaan melalui penerapan prinsip-prinsip keterbukaan (Transparancy), akuntabilitas (Accountability), tanggung jawab (Responsibility), Kemandirian (Independency) dan keadilan (Fairness) pada seluruh proses dan struktur dalam pengelolaan perusahaan.
Business Prospects
In the middle of increasingly fierce global competition, the Company will continue to improve the quality of products by promoting the use of cost efficiency, so that the continuity of the company's operations will be run in accordance with the direction of development (roadmap) which has been determined that is the initial growth period. The Board of Directors believes by improving the competence of employees, business development, and optimize existing resources, the company will continue to grow and thrive.
In an effort to improve corporate performance, management has conducted an internal corrective action plans including improvement of the quality of products according to market tastes. In addition, to improve the marketing, the Company will increase sales through Free Sales to get a relatively higher price in addition to PT KPBN. For Tea Downstream Industry, the Company's effort is to improve the distribution by adding more competitive distributors and have the right target market.
Implementation of Good Corporate Governance PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII committed to implement, construct, evaluate, develop and improve the corporate governance process in order to ensure the achievement of the company objectives according to the principles of good corporate governance and according to the Minister of SOEs Regulation No. PER-01/MBU/2011 dated August 1, 2011 on the application of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in State-Owned Enterprises.
Good corporate governance becomes a strong foundation in creating a formidable, superior and dignified company and able to respond to changing business environment and increasingly competitive business world, as well as increase corporate value for all stakeholders of the company through the application of the principles of Transparency, Accountability, Responsibility, Independency and Fairness) in the whole process and in the management structure of the company.
penerapan GCG pada PTPN VIII untuk periode tahun 2014 oleh BPKP Provinsi Jawa Barat, guna memperoleh gambaran mengenai kondisi penerapan GCG dikaitkan dengan ketentuan yang berlaku dan praktik-praktik terbaik (best practices) penerapan GCG, mengacu pada SK Sekretaris Menteri BUMN Nomor : SK-16/S. MBU/2012 tanggal 6 Juni 2012 tentang Indikator/ Parameter Penilaian dan Evaluasi atas Penerapan Tata Kelola Perusahaan yang Baik (Good Corporate Governance) pada Badan Usaha Milik Negara. Berdasarkan Berita Acara hasil assessment terhadap penerapan GCG pada PTPN VIII untuk periode tahun 2014 yang dilakukan sejak tanggal 7 Januari 2015 sampai dengan 25 Februari 2015, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kondisi penerapan GCG pada PTPN VIII mencapai skor 83,06 dari skor maksimal 95. Dengan capaian skor ini dan dengan pertimbangan tidak ada aspek yang berskor di bawah atau sama dengan 60, maka predikat penerapan GCG pada PTPN VIII adalah ‘BAIK’. Penilaian BUMN Bersih
Penilaian BUMN Bersih pada tahun 2014 telah disampaikan Sekretaris Kementerian BUMN Melalui surat nomor : S-165/S.MBU/2014 tanggal 9 Mei 2014, dan Sesuai laporan BPKP Perwakilan Provinsi Jawa Barat Nomor : LLWAS-177/ PW10/4/2014 tanggal 25 Maret 2014 bahwa nilai akhir yang diperoleh dari hasil penilaian BUMN Bersih terhadap PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII diperoleh dari nilai kuesioner persepsi stakeholders/komitmen sebesar 7,63 dan dari upaya internal/dokumen Aplikasi sebesar 8,23. Perubahan Pembagian Tugas dan Wewenang Direksi Dalam rangka meningkatkan efektifitas dan efisiensi pencapaian tujuan perusahaan, serta sejalan dengan arah pengembangan bisnis komoditi perkebunan dan usaha perusahaan ke depan, yaitu mengarah pada spesialisasi komoditi yang terintegrasi untuk meningkatkan nilai tambah perusahaan, maka pada tahun 2014 dilakukan penyesuaian struktur organisasi PTPN VIII dan perubahan pembagian tugas dan wewenang Anggota Direksi, sebagaimana Surat Direksi Nomor: SB/I.1/2920/IX/2014 tanggal 5 September 2014 dan persetujuan Dewan Komisaris Nomor: 45/Dekom/X/2014 tanggal 3 Oktober 2014.
PTPN VIII‘s GCG implementation for the period of 2014 by BPKP West Java Province, in order to obtain an overview of the implementation of GCG conditions associated with the prevailing regulations and best practices of GCG implementation, referring to the Secretary of SOE ‘s Minister Decree Number: SK-16/S. MBU/2012 dated June 6, 2012 on indicators/ parameters of Assessment and Evaluation of the Implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in State-Owned Enterprises.
Based on the results of PTPN VIII’s GCG Implementation Assessment for the period 2014 which were conducted from the date of January 7, 2015 until February 25, 2015, it can be concluded that the conditions for the implementation of GCG at PTPN VIII achieved a score of 83.06 out of a maximum score of 95. With these scores and achievements with no consideration aspects with a score below or equal to 60, then the predicate of GCG Implementation at PTPN VIII is 'GOOD'. BUMN Bersih Assessment
BUMN Bersih assessment in 2014 was submitted by the Secretary of the Ministry of SOEs By letter No. S-165/S.MBU/2014 dated May 9, 2014, and in according to BPKP West Java Province Representative Report Number: LLWAS-177/ PW10/4/2014 dated March 25, 2014 that the final score obtained from the assessment of the BUMN Bersih in PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII obtained from perception questionnaires of stakeholders/ commitment score of 7.63 and an internal/ Application document effort of 8.23.
Changes in the Board of Directors Segregation of Duties In order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of corporate goals achievement process, and in line with the direction of agricultural commodity business development and business enterprise in the future, which leads to an integrated commodity specialization to enhance the added value of the company, then in 2014 the company made an organizational structure change and change in the Board of Directors Segregation of Duties, as the Board of Directors Letter Number: SB/I.1/2920/ IX/2014 dated September 5, 2014 and the approval of the Board of Commissioners Number: 45/ Dekom/X/2014 dated October 3, 2014.
