ClubGRANTS Funding Round
The Hills Local Club Grants Committee is pleased to announce that the 2015 Club Grants Category 1 funding round will open on Thursday 19 March 2015 and close on Thursday 30 April 2015.
The ClubGRANTS Scheme is a State-wide initiative allowing registered clubs with annual gaming machine revenue exceeding
$1 million to apply 1.5% of their game machine revenue to specific community development and support projects.
Applications are invited from local community based organisations for projects or services that contribute to the welfare and broader
social fabric of the local Hills community. Projects qualifying
for Category 1 funding may include community welfare and social services, community development, community health and employment assisting strategies.

NAMING OF PuBLIC RESERVE
Council is considering a proposal to name the reserve at the corner of Young Road and Post Office Road, Carlingford. The proposed name is Larry Bolitho Reserve.
Mr Bolitho served on Council from 1983 until 2012. The naming of the reserve as Larry Bolitho Reserve seeks to recognise Mr Bolitho’s contributions to The Hills Shire and its residents.
Comments regarding this proposal are invited and should be lodged in writing with Council no later than Friday, 20 March 2015.
