Presiden Republik Indonesia dan Presiden Republik

Sosialis Tjekoslovakia ,

didorong oleh keinginan untuk memperluas dan

mem-pererat tali2 persahabatan den kerdjasama antara

Repu-blik Indonesia dan RepuRepu-blik Sosialis Tjekoslovakia,

atas dasar saling menghormati kedaulatan nasional

ma-sing2, tidak bertjampur-tangan dalam seal da18m

nege-ri, persamaan deradjat dan kemanfaatan bersama,

bertekad untuk memberi sumbangan kearah

berkurang-nja ketegangan internasional, menanam saling

kepertja-jaan antara negara2 dan pertumbhan kerdjasama

interna-sional,

berkejakinan bahwa mempererat dan memperluas tali2

persahabatan dan kerdja-sama antara Indonesia dan

Tje-koslovakia ada}ah selaras dengan kepentingan rakjat

Fatsal I

Kedua Fihak Jang Berdjandji menjatakai dengan

chidmat bahwa kedua Negara akan turut serta pada tiap

tindakm internasional jang bertudjuan menjelamatkan

perdamaian dan ketenteraman dunia, memadjukan

kerdja-sama setjara damai dan menghapuskan kerdja-sama sekali tiap

kolonialisme dan imperialisme dalem bentuk apapun

djuga, dan jang sesuai dengan tudjucn2 dan azas2

Pia-gam Perserikatan Bangsa Bangsa.

Fatsal II

Kedua Fihak Jang Berdjandji akai. mengadakan

per-tukaran fikiran tentang masalah2 internasional jang

penting jang menjangkut kepentingan kedua fihffi:.

Kedua Fihak JE11g Berdj endji bersetudju untuk

mem-perluas hubungan serta kerdjasama antara mereka atas

dasar saling menghormati kedaulatan masing2 dan tidak

bertjampur-tangan· dalam soel dalam negeri masing2,

persamaan deradjat dan kemanfaatan bersama.

1. Perdjandjian ini akan disahkan dan akan mulai

berlaku pada hari pertukaran alat2 ratifikasi, jang

akan diselenggarakan di Djakarta dalam waktu

sesing-kat-singkatnja.

2. Perdjandjian ini dibuat untuk djangka waktu

jang tidak terbatas dan akan tetap berlaku,

terketju-ali djika salah satu Fihak jang Berdjandji menjatakan

pembatalannja dengan tertulis, duabelas bulan

sebelum-nja.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia

and the President of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic,

desiring further to develop and strengthen friendly

relations and co-operation between the Republic of

Indo-ne sia and the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic on the

basis of mutual respect for national sovere_ignty,

non--interference into internal affairs, equality and mutual

advantages,

firmly resolved to contribute to the relaxation of

international tension, the establishment of confidence

among States and the development of international

co--operation,

being convinced that further strengthening and

development of friendly relations and mutual co-operation

between Indonesia and Czechoslovakia is in harmony: with

the interests of the people of the two countries,

desiring to implement

in

their mutual relations

the purposes and principles of the United Nations and

the Resolution of the XIIIth United Nations General

, Assembly Session on Measures Aimed at the Implementation

and Promotion of Peaceful and Neighbourly Relations

among States,

Both Contracting Parties solemnly declare that

both States shall talce part ll1 all international

actions aimed at the safeguarding of world peace and

security, the promotion of peaceful co-operation and

complete liquidation of colonialism and imperialism

in

all their manifestations, and which are consistent with

the purposes and principles of the United Nations

Charter.

Both Contracting Parties shall exchange views

on important international questions of interest to

the two Parties.

The Contracting Parties undertake to develop

their relations and mutual co-operation on the basis

of mutual respect for sovereignty and non-interference

The Contracting Parties have decided to settle

all differences which might arise between them

exclusively by peace:ful means and in conformity with

the provisions of the United Nations Charter.

The Contracting Parties are convinced that mutually·

beneficial economic co-operation constitutes a finn

basis of their peaceful and friendly relations and,

therefore, undertake to continue to foster this

co--operation in the interest of construction and

develop-ment in their respective countries.

Both Contracting Parties have agreed further to

develop and promote mutual relations in the field of

education, culture, science and technology and thus

contribute to deeper understanding between the peoples

of the two countries in the interest of the broadest

possible knowledge of their respective cultural heritage

and of the constant advancement of technical standards

of their respective economies.

1. The present Treaty is subject to ratification

and sh_all become effective on the day of exchange of

the instruments of ratification which will take place

in Djakarta within the shortest possible time.

2. The present Treaty is concluded for an

inde-finite period of time and shall remain valid unless

denounced

months in advance.

Mengingat , bahwa Perdjandjian Persahabatan dan Ker-djasama a.l'ltara Republik Indonesia dan Republik Sosialis Tjekoslovakia telah ditanda-tangani di Praha pada tanggal duapuluh sembilan Mei seribu sembilan ratus enam puluh satu,

2. Perdjandjian ini dibuat untuk djanglla wa.ktu jang ti-dak terbatas dan a.kan tetap berlaku, terketjuali djika salah satu Fihak jang Berdja.>ldji menjatakan pembatalannja dengan tertulis, duabelas bulan sebelumnja.

Diperbuat di Praha pada tanggal 29 Mei , sembilan belas ratus enam puluh satu, dalam rangkap dua, dalarn bahs.sa Indo-nesia, Tjeko dan Inggris, ketiga bahasa mana mempunjai ke-lmatan j ang sama.

Whereas a Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Indonesia and the Czechoslovalc Socialist Re-public was signed in Prague on the twenty ninth May nineteen hundred and sixty one, which reads word for word as follows:
