ABSTRACT

PUTRI HIDAYANI LINGGA : Growth Response of Oil Palm Seedlings to vermicompost dose and apllication method of liquid organic fertilizer in pre nursery. Supervised by RATNA ROSANTI LAHAY and ROSITA SIPAYUNG

The purpose of this research is to knows the respons of oil palm seedlings to the variety of vermicompost dose and methode of aplication liquid organic fertilizer on pre nursery. This research was held in Faculty of Agriculture University of Sumatra Utara, Medan with a height ± 25 meters above the sea level, started from May until August 2016, using factorial rendomized block design with 2 factors. The first factor is doses of vermicompost with 4 levels of 0 g/polybag; 100 g/polybag; 200 g/polybag; 300 g/polybag and the second factor is apllication method of liquid organic fertilizer with 3 levels those are without liquid organic fertilizer; sprayed; watered. The parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of leaf (sheet) , stem diameter (mm), wet weight of top (g), wet weight of low (g), dry weight of top (g), and dry weight of low (g), long roots (cm), and total leaf area (cm2). The result showed that vermicompost treatment significantly increased the plant height, number of leaf , stem diameter, total leaf area, long roots, wet weight of top, wet weight of low, dry weight of top parameter. The treatment apllication method of liquid organic fertilizer significantly increased the long roots parameter. The interaction between both treatments significantly increased plant height, stem diameter, and total leaf area parameter.

PUTRI HIDAYANI LINGGA : Respon Pertumbuhan Bibit Kelapa Sawit Terhadap Dosis Kascing dan Cara Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair di Pre Nursery. Dibimbing oleh RATNA ROSANTI LAHAY dan ROSITA SIPAYUNG.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit terhadap pemberian berbagai dosis kascing dan cara pemberian pupuk organik cair di pre nursery. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dilahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara Medan dengan ketinggian + 25 meter dpl, dari bulan Mei sampai Agustus 2016, menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan 2 faktor perlakuan. Faktor pertama adalah dosis kascing dengan 4 taraf yaitu 0 g/polybag; 100 g/polybag; 200 g/polybag; 300 g/polybag dan faktor kedua cara pemberian pupuk organik cair dengan 3 taraf yaitu tanpa pemberian; disemprot; disiram;. Parameter pengamatan adalah tinggi bibit (cm), jumlah daun (helai), diameter batang (mm), bobot basah tajuk (g), bobot basah akar (g), bobot kering tajuk (g), bobot kering akar (g), panjang akar (cm), dan total luas daun

(cm2). Perlakuan dosis kascing berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter

pengamatan tinggi bibit (cm), jumlah daun (helai), diameter batang (mm), total

luas daun (cm2), panjang akar (cm), bobot basah tajuk (g), bobot basah akar (g),

bobot kering tajuk (g). Perlakuan cara pemberian pupuk organik cair berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter panjang akar (cm). Interaksi dosis kascing dan cara pemberian pupuk organik cair berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter tinggi bibit

(cm), diameter batang (mm), dan total luas daun (cm2).
