PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN SIRSAK (Annona muricata L.) TERHADAP NILAI SPF
KRIM TABIR SURYA KOMBINASI AVOBENSON DAN OKTIL METOKSISINAMAT
ABSTRAK
Paparan sinar matahari yang disebabkan sinar ultraviolet berdampak buruk pada kulit, berupa eritema, sunburn, pigmentasi dan penyakit kanker kulit. Untuk melindungi kulit dari efek buruk tersebut, salah satunya digunakan tabir surya yang diformulasikan dalam sediaan krim. Daun sirsak berperan sebagai antioksidan yang terdapat pada senyawa fenol dan flavonoid yang memiliki potensi fotoproteksi karena dapat menyerap sinar UV. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh ekstrak etanol daun sirsak terhadap efektivitas krim tabir surya kombinasi avobenson dan oktil metoksisinamat, dengan mengukur nilai SPF (Sun protection Factor).
Pada penelitian ini, pembuatan ekstrak etanol daun sirsak dilakukan dengan cara perkolasi. Krim tabir surya kombinasi avobenson dan oktil metoksisinamat diformulasikan dengan penambahan ekstrak etanol daun sirsak dengan konsentrasi 4% (FI), 6% (FII), 8% (FIII) dan 10% (FIV). Evaluasi sediaan krim tabir surya meliputi organoleptis, homogenitas, tipe emulsi, pH, stabilitas, iritasi kulit, dan penentuan nilai SPF krim tabir surya secara in vitro menggunakan spektrofotometer UV Visible.
Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua sediaan krim tabir surya ekstrak etanol daun sirsak homogen dengan tipe emulsi m/a, rentang pH pada kisaran 5,7 - 6,3, tidak mengiritasi, dan stabil selama 12 minggu penyimpanan pada suhu kamar. Nilai SPF meningkat dengan meningkatnya konsentrasi ekstrak etanol daun sirsak. Nilai SPF basis krim, blanko dan krim dengan penambahan ekstrak etanol daun sirsak 4% (FI), 6% (FII), 8% (FIII) dan 10% (FIV) berturut-turut adalah 0,39; 15,85; 16,96; 19,46; 20,99 dan 23,49. Hasil analisis secara statistik menunjukkan peningkatan nilai SPF ini memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan (p < 0.05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ektrak etanol daun sirsak dapat meningkatkan nilai SPF tabir surya kombinasi avobenson dan oktil metoksisinamat.

THE EFFECT OF ETHANOL EXTRACT LEAVES OF SOURSOP (Annona muricata L.) ON SPF VALUE OF
AVOBENZONE AND OCTYL METHOXYCINNAMATE COMBINATION AS SUNSCREEN CREAM
ABSTRACT
Sun exprosure (ultraviolet radiation) which is caused by ultraviolet rays have a negative impact on the skin, such as erythema, sunburn, pigmentation and skin cancer. In order to protect skin from that effect, sunscreen formulated in cream can be used. Soursoup leaves act as antioxidants contain phenolic and flavonoid substance that have the potential photoprotection because of their UV absorbing. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of ethanol extract leaves of soursop on effectiveness of sunscreen cream containing a combination of avobenzone and octyl methoxycinnamate, with measurement of SPF (Sun Protection Factor).
In this study, the ethanol extract leaves of soursop leaves were done by percolation. The suncreen cream of avobenzone and octyl methoxycinnamate combination was formulated with addition of Soursop leaves extract at 4% (FI), 6% (FII), 8% (FIII) dan 10% (FIV). Evaluations conducted on organeleptic, homogenity, emulsion type, pH, stability, skin irritation, and SPF value of sunscreens was determined by in vitro method using UV Visible spectrophotometer.
The study showed that all the samples of sunscreen cream ethanol extract leaves of soursop was homogeneous with emulsion type m/a, in range of 5.7 - 6.3 pH range, non-irritating, and stable dosage during 12 weeks of storage at room temperature. The research showed that SPF value increased by increasing the Soursop leaves extract concentration. The SPF value of cream base, blank, and cream with extract addition 4% (FI), 6% (FII), 8% (FIII) and 10% (FIV) were 0.39; 15.85; 16.96; 19.46; 20.99 dan 23.49. The results of statistical analysis showed significant differences (p < 0.05).It can be concluded that ethanol extract leaves of soursop can increase that sunscreen cream SPF value of combination avobenzone and octyl methoxycinnamate.
