Tugas dan tanggung jawab terkait produksi dilaksanakan oleh Fungsi Produksi yang dipimpin Vice President (VP) Produksi. Adapun tugas dan tanggung jawab terkait distribusi dijalankan oleh Fungsi Distribusi, yang dipimpin VP Distribusi. Baik VP Produksi maupun VP Distribusi bertanggung jawab kepada Direktur Operasi.
The duties and responsibilities of production are carried out by the Production Department led by Vice President (VP) Production. The duties and responsibilities of distribution are carried out by Distribution Department, led by VP Distribution. Both VP Production and VP Distribution are under the supervision of Director of Operations.
KINERJA PRODUKSI
Tanggung jawab Fungsi Produksi adalah menyediakan seluruh material bahan baku dan bahan pembantu produksi serta melakukan proses produksi. Fungsi produksi juga melakukan kegiatan optimalisasi fasilitas produksi untuk menunjang kelancaran produksi.
Kegiatan produksi dimulai dari pemrosesan bahan baku, terdiri atas base oil yang berasal dari PT Pertamina (Persero) serta bahan aditif dari PT Pertamina (Persero) dan produksi PT Pertamina Lubricants. Bahan baku tersebut selanjutnya diolah menjadi pelumas, grease, dan specialties product.

PRODUCTION PERFORMANCE
Production Department is responsible to provide the entire raw materials and production auxiliary materials as well as the production process. The production department also involves the optimization of production facilities to support the production.
The production activities begins from processing of raw materials, consisting of a base oil from PT Pertamina (Persero) as well as additives from PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Pertamina Lubricants. The raw materials are further processed into lubricants, grease, and specialties products.
Processing takes place at three domestic production units and one overseas production unit, namely:

KAPASITAS PRODUKSI <IR4>
Di tahun 2015, dilakukan upgrading teknologi pabrik pelumas, khususnya di PUJ. Namun, upgrading ini tidak menyebabkan peningkatan/penurunan kapasitas produksi pabrik.
PRODUCTION UNIT JAKARTA (PUJ) <IR8>
Tahun 2015 Perusahaan mengoperasikan PUJ yang telah dimodernisasi yang menjadi pabrik pertama di Asia Tenggara yang terintegrasi. Fasilitas pabrik yang ada menjadikan PUJ dapat memproduksi pelumas, grease, specialties product, dan base oil. Kapasitas produksi LOBP terpasang bertambah menjadi 270.000 KL/tahun
Pabrik baru PUJ didukung dengan penggunaan teknologi blending modern, yakni:

Pabrik baru PUJ memiliki fasilitas enam line pengisian lithos, empat line pengisian drum, dan empat line pengisian curah. Modernisasi yang dilakukan menjadikan pabrik baru dioperasikan secara otomatis.
Sampai dengan akhir tahun 2015, fasilitas produksi PUJ terdiri atas:

PUC terdiri dari satu unit pabrik LOBP, dengan kapasitas terpasang 85.000 KL/tahun. Proses produksi PUC didukung fasilitas:

PRODUCTION CAPACITY <IR4>
In 2015, technological upgrading was carried out for lubricants plant, especially at PUJ. However, the upgrading did not increase or decrease the production capacity of the plant.
PRODUCTION UNIT JAKARTA (PUJ) <IR8>
In 2015 the Company operated PUJ that has been modernized to become the first integrated plant in Southeast Asia. The existing plant facilities enable PUJ to produce lubricants, grease, specialties products and base oil. The installed LOBP production capacity increased to 270,000 KL/year.
The new plant of PUJ is supported by the use of modern blending technology, namely:

PUJ’s new plant has facilities of six lithos filling lines, four drum filling lines and four bulk filling lines. The modernization has made the new plant is operated automatically.
As of the end of 2015, PUJ production facilities consisted of:

Total installed capacity of 270,000 KL/year 2. One unit of grease plant
Installed capacity of 8,000 MT/year.

PRODUCTION UNIT GRESIK (PUG)
Proses produksi pada PUG sudah dijalankan secara otomatis menggunakan teknologi inline blending (ILB) dan automatic batch blending (ABB). Dengan kedua teknologi tersebut, bahan baku untuk keperluan produksi pelumas sejak diturunkan dari kapal sampai menjadi produk siap pakai diproses otomatis yang dikendalikan dari ruang kontrol.
Proses blending dan pengisian secara otomatis menghasilkan mutu produk yang memenuhi spesifikasi dengan konsistensi mutu yang unggul. Dengan teknologi serba otomatis, volume pengisian juga lebih akurat dan jenis produk dapat terekam secara otomatis. Teknologi ini juga memiliki keunggulan dalam hal kecepatan produksi yang tinggi.

VOLUME PRODUKSI
Secara umum volume produksi selama tahun 2015 memperlihatkan peningkatan dibanding tahun 2014.
Peningkatan terjadi seiring penambahan kapasitas terpasang setelah pabrik baru PUJ dioperasikan dan beroperasinya Production Unit milik anak perusahaan Pertamina Lubricants Thailand Co., Ltd.
PRODUCTION UNIT GRESIK (PUG)
The production process at PUG has already been carried out automatically using inline blending (ILB) and automatic batch blending (ABB) technologies. With these two technologies, raw materials for the production of lubricants are processed automatically, since they are unloaded from the boat until they become ready to use products, which are controlled from the control room.
The automated process of blending and filling has generated products with quality meeting the specifications with superior quality consistency. With fully automated technology, the volume of filling is also more accurate and type of product can be recorded automatically. This technology also has advantage in high production speed.

FUNGSI DISTRIBUSI
Fungsi Distribusi bertanggung jawab untuk:
1. Merencanakan dan mengelola permintaan sales, 2. Mengelola ketersediaan produk di Gudang Nusantara,
3. Melakukan distribusi pelumas ke seluruh wilayah Nusantara dengan tepat jumlah, tepat waktu, dan tepat jenis dan mutu melalui pengelolaan inventory dan transportasi secara efisien dan efektif.
Pelaksanaan kegiatan pendistribusian didukung penerapan sistem pengelolaan pergudangan (warehouse management system) dan depot pasokan (Depot Supply Point).

LUBRICANTS DISTRIBUTION
Distribution flow of the Company’s products is as follows:
Seluruh hasil produksi dari Production Unit selanjutnya disimpan dalam Gudang Nusantara sebelum didistribusikan. Gudang Nusantara juga digunakan untuk menyimpan stok produk jadi sebagai persiapan pasokan produk jadi bulan selanjutnya.
Perusahaan memiliki tiga Gudang Nusantara:
1. Gudang Nusantara Jakarta, dengan kapasitas simpan 250.000 box dan 120.000 drum.
2. Gudang Nusantara Cilacap, dengan kapasitas simpan 50.000 box dan 7.500 drum.
3. Gudang Nusantara Surabaya, dengan kapasitas simpan 155.000 box dan 40.000 drum.

WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (WMS)
Penerapan WMS meliputi pengelolaan atas segala kegiatan pergudangan, meliputi:
1. Shipping (pengiriman) 2. Receiving (penerimaan) 3. Put away (penyimpanan) 4. Move (pergerakan) 5. Picking (pengambilan)
Tujuan penerapan WMS adalah menyediakan satu set prosedur komputerisasi untuk menangani penerimaan dan pengiriman barang, mengelola fasilitas penyimpanan, mengelola stok barang untuk picking, packing, dan shipping. Penerapan WMS mengaplikasikan teknologi seperti WiFi, Local Area Network (LAN), radio frequency, barcode scanner, email dan teknologi informasi lainnya.

Dalam penerapan WMS, berlaku mekanisme first in first out (FIFO) dalam lalu lintas keluar masuk barang. Dengan demikian barang yang pertama kali masuk gudang akan keluar pertama kali pula dari gudang.
Perusahaan juga menerapkan pendistribusian produk melalui layanan pintu ke pintu (door to door services) yang merupakan layanan antarbarang dari alamat pengirim sampai alamat penerima. Layanan ini dikenal pula sebagai strategi jemput bola, yakni sebuah strategi yang menjadikan PT Pertamina Lubricants sebagai penyedia jasa berkoordinasi langsung dengan calon pelanggan.
Strategi door to door services terbilang cukup efektif karena para pelaku usaha bisa mendekatkan PT Pertamina Lubricants dengan konsumen. Strategi ini juga dan memberikan kemudahan bagi para pelanggan untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya.

In the application of WMS, the Company applies the First in First out (FIFO) mechanism for the traffic of goods. Thus the first entry of goods is to be the first one that comes out.
The company also implements product distribution through door to door services, which is a delivery service from the sender address to the recipient’s address. This service is also known as a proactive strategy, i.e. strategy that makes PT Pertamina Lubricants as a service provider that coordinates directly with prospective customers.
Door to door services strategy is quite effective because businesses can bring PT Pertamina Lubricants closer to customers. This strategy also makes it easy for customers to meet their needs.
DEPOT SUPPLY POINT
Kegiatan distribusi PT Pertamina Lubricants didukung oleh fasilitas Depot Supply Point (DSP). Total terdapat 26 DSP di seluruh wilayah Indonesia yang disuplai dari tiga Gudang Nusantara. Setiap DSP menyimpan stok aman produk untuk persediaan selama dua pekan hingga dua bulan ke depan, sehingga pasokan produk pelumas kepada konsumen tetap terjamin.

Kegiatan pendistribusian produk-produk PT Pertamina Lubricants dilakukan melalui moda angkutan darat dan laut oleh transporter yang terdaftar pada PT Pertamina Lubricants.
