Secretary Zitzelsberger presented the minutes of the meeting of the International Kiwanis Council held in Indianapolis, Indiana, January. RESOLVED, that the Minutes of the January Kiwanis International Council meeting be approved and adopted.

COMMUNICATIONS AND EDUCATION

RESOLVED that the Kiwanis International Board approve the appointments made by the President to the Kiwanis International Foundation. RESOLVED that we reconsider the resolution passed at the meeting regarding the charging of Key Circle K's expenses.

PROCEDURE

Past Presidents will not be reimbursed for per diem expenses; however, the cost of programmed meal functions at International Convention and Council meetings will be borne by Kiwanis International.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That all three Key Club Districts shall remain under the sponsorship of the Eastern Canada and Caribbean District Kiwanis. It was moved by Trustee Lough and seconded by Trustee Jackson that action on this resolution be deferred until the June Board meeting.

ESTABLISHMENT OF JAMAICAN,

It was moved by Trustee Morton and seconded by Trustee Lough that the International District K budget for 1985-1986 be approved. It was moved by Trustee Morton and seconded by Treasurer DiNoto that this resolution be deferred until the June Board meeting.

BOARD POLICIES

It was moved by Trustee Lough and seconded by Trustee Jackson that one additional shipment (sent in January) and seven issues of the Keynoter be sent to all Kiwanis clubs sponsoring the Key Club and that such mailings begin on October 1, 1985. RESOLVED that this Board approves proposed changes to Key Club International Board policies except 7.

STANDARD FORM FOR CIRCLE K

RESOLVED that this Board approve the standard form of Club Bylaws as approved by the Circle K International Board, bringing the document into harmony with the recently revised and adopted Circle K International Constitution and Bylaws. Selection and Discipline of Membership The selection and discipline of active and honorary members of this club shall be by majority vote of the entire active membership of this club, subject to the approval of our institutional authorities (where necessary) and our Kiwanis sponsor(s) ). The administrative year of the district shall begin and end with the conclusion of the t-h-e--District Convention.

Article X: REVENUE

The District shall never sponsor or participate in any manner in a sweepstakes, sweepstakes, sweepstakes or game of chance in connection with any fundraising activity, unless the District has obtained the prior approval of the sponsoring Kiwanis Board of Trustees. The District shall not engage directly or indirectly in any activity that may impugn or reflect unfavorably on the good name of the District Choir of Kiwanis.

Income may be derived from other sources in such manner as the Board of Directors may determine. Any lottery, raffle, drawing or game of chance so approved shall not be contrary to the laws, morals, customs or traditions of the country, state or province in which the fundraising activity is to take place.
