he presented a short course dealing with the segmented arch technique at the University of Montreal in cooperation with Dr. Claude Baril, chairman of the Department of Ortho- dontics of that university. From Montreal, Dr. Burstone flew toPittsburgh, Pa. for the annual meeting of the Great Lakes Society of
Orthodontists. During this meeting, he was named vice-president of the
society for the coming year.
Dr. B. S. Cryer from Guy's Hospital London, England. spent nine days visiting and observing in the Ortho- dontic Department. Dr. Cryer came to IUSD while on a "traveling fellowship"

During his visit here, it was discovered that he knows Dr. James Page, formerly of the Department of Pedodontics, and his father quite well. He took greetings from the School of Dentistry back to Englan.d with him.
