Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti secara empiris pengaruh variabel harga crude palm oil (CPO), dan tingkat inflasi terhadap fluktuasi nilai tukar rupiah atas dollar AS.
Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan verifikatif. Metode penentuan sampel menggunakan metode sampling jenuh. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari www.indexmundi.com, dan www.bi.go.id pada periode 2013-2017. Instrumen analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah uji asumsi klasik, regresi linier berganda, uji F, uji t, koefisien korelasi, dan koefisien determinasi.
Hasil penelitian secara parsial harga crude palm oil (CPO) berpengaruh signifikan dan berhubungan positif terhadap fluktuasi nilai tukar rupiah atas dollar AS, sedangkan tingkat inflasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan dan berhubungan positif terhadap fluktuasi nilai tukar rupiah atas dollar AS. Sedangkan hasil penelitian secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa harga crude palm oil (CPO) dan tingkat inflasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap fluktuasi nilai tukar rupiah atas dollar AS. Dengan Koefisien determinasi sebesar 20,8% dan sisanya sebesar 79,2% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. Penelitian ini hanya menggunakan dua variabel makroekonomi, sehingga untuk penelitian selanjutnya perlu menemukan variabel makroekonomi lainnya baik dari dalam negeri maupun dari luar negeri yang dapat mempengaruhi fluktuasi nilai tukar rupiah atas dollar AS.

This study aims to empirically examine the effect of variable Crude Palm Oil (CPO) price and inflation rate to fluctuations in the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar .
The research method use in this research is descriptive and verification method. Sampling methode use saturated sampling. The data used in research issecondary data obtained from the www.indexmundi.com and www.bi.go.id in the period 2013-2017. The instruments of statistical analysis are the classical assumption test, multiple regression, F test, t test, correlation coefficient, and coefficient of determination.
The results Showed that the partial on Crude Palm Oil (CPO) price has significant effect and positively related to fluctuations in the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar, and inflation rate has no significant effect and positively relasted to fluctuations in the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar. While simultaneously, Crude Palm Oil (CPO) price and inflation rate significantly influence to fluctuations in the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar. With a coefficient of determination of 20,8 % and the remaining 79,2% is influenced by other factors not investigated. This research only used two macroeconomic variables, so as to further research needs to find other macroeconomic variables both from domestic and from abroad that could affect fluctuations in the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar.
