Praise and gratitude the author prays to Allah SWT, because of His blessings and mercy, the author was able to complete this internship report. The internship report is prepared to fulfill one of the requirements to complete the study in D-IV International Business Administration study program at State Polytechnic of Bengkalis. The author realizes that without the help and guidance of various parties it is very difficult for the author to complete this internship report.

Hutomo Atman Maulana, S.Pd., M.Si as Head of the International Business Administration Study Program. During his apprenticeship at the Bengkalis District Transport Department, many lessons and knowledge the author gained from the office staff.

Despite all that, the author also realized that many mistakes were made while writing this report.

Background of the Apprenticeship

2 Selection the location of the apprenticeship is made to implement the theories that have been learned, train to add experience to adapt to the real world of work, to find out what things are needed by the transport department and to know what systems are running at the Transport Department in Bengkalis Regency. The port sector is tasked with preparing and implementing policies, providing assistance as well as monitoring and evaluation in the port sector. Carrying out activities The apprenticeship in this department covers many areas related to administration processes, to gain experience in the use of the system used, to know administration activities about local authorities in road traffic, transport and transport mode integration, ports and Shipping.

Through this internship, you hope to gain as much experience as possible, get an overview of the real working environment and gain new knowledge that is useful for life after lectures, especially in administration.

Purposes of the Apprenticeship

Significances of the Apprenticeship

The Transport Department of Bengkalis Regency has the main task of carrying out some regional household affairs in the field of transport (facilities and infrastructure) as well as transport facilities which are their responsibility and assistance tasks given by the regency. In the management of transportation facilities and infrastructure, the Bengkalis Regency government, through the Bengkalis Regent, gives responsibility and authority to the Department of Transportation in operating the transportation system in its territory. The area of ​​Bengkalis Regency in general can be grouped into 3 (three) geographical groups, namely: (1) geographical for coastal islands, (2) geographical for the coast and (3) geographical for land.

In the management of matters related to transport facilities and infrastructure, the Bengkalis Regency Government, through the Bengkalis Regent, gives responsibility and authority to the Bengkalis Regency Transport Department in managing the transport system in its territory. The Department of Transport of Bengkalis Regency has activities that deal with the formulation of technical policies in the field of transport, the implementation of government affairs and public services in the field of transport, the direction and implementation of tasks in the field of transport. During his apprenticeship at the Transport Department of the Bengkalis Region, the author was posted to the port sector.

System and Procedure

Place of Apprenticeship

Every document created usually requires a soft file which must also be prepared by scanning the document. With Scanner, the results appear on the computer screen so that they can then be adjusted as desired. First, make sure the scanning machine is turned on and connect the scanner to the computer.

Make sure the computer you are using has a scanner driver in use, then select the scan menu and the document will run. Finally, the scanned document can be selected whether it should be saved in the form of files, images or pdf.

Collection of documents for information on plans (planning advice) for the construction of the port of Ketam Putih Village Passage from the Public Works Department. Preparation of the Regent's Letter for the Maritime Tollway Network Proposal to the Governor of Riau. Revision of the Regent's Letter on the Toll Road Network Proposal to the Governor of Riau.

Preparation of reports on implementation of Idul Fitri command post to Tanjung Kapal Rupat Crossing. Preparation and printing of reports on the implementation of the Idul Fitri command post to the Tanjung Kapal Rupat junction. 35 Help this week to prepare project files and all necessary administration and documents for the development of the project to be implemented.

Conclusion

The working systems and procedures in the Transport Department of Bengkalis Regency Port Sector use an online system, an application system and a manual system. All these systems make it easier to do work, especially in jobs involving administrative processes in the Port Sector. During the internship at the Transport Department of Bengal Regency some obstacles are encountered such as internet connection problems and inadequate work equipment to handle large amount of documents.

The solutions to deal with obstacles during the apprenticeship process at the Transportation Department of Bengkalis Regency, that is, with the use of a personal Internet connection and for photocopying documents in large quantities, is to use larger equipment in the secretariat room.
