ORDER:

In the G.O. first read above, orders were issued, reconstituting the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board for a period of three years.

2. In the letter 2nd read above, the Member Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board, Vijayawada has requested the Government to reconstitute the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board as the term of the Board constituted in the G.O. 1st read above was over by 01.01.2021.

3. In the G.O. 3rd read above, orders have been issued, appointing Sri.

A.K. Parida, IAS (Retired) as Chairman, Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board. Further, it has been stated in the notification that orders will be issued separately in respect of other Members of the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board.

4. In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (e) of sub-section (2) of section 64 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, (Act No.6 of 1974) read with sub-section (2) of Section 4 of the said Act, orders were issued in G.O. 4th read above, prescribing Rules for qualifications and other terms and conditions to the Chairman, Member Secretary and Members of the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board. The para 5 (a) of the said Notification stipulates that,

“A Member of the Board, other than the Member Secretary, shall hold office for a term of three (3) years from the date on which his / her nomination is notified in the Official Gazette”.

5. After careful examination of the matter, the Government have decided to reconstitute the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board and to appoint the following Officials and Non-officials as Members of the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board. Accordingly, the following notification shall be published in the next issue of Andhra Pradesh Gazette:

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) read with sub- section (2) of Section 4 of the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution)

Act, 1974, and sub-section (1) read with sub-section (2) of Section 5 of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby re-constitute the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board with the following as Members of the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board:-

1. Special Chief Secretary / Principal Secretary / Secretary to Government, Environment, Forests, Science & Technology Department.

2. Special Chief Secretary / Principal Secretary / Secretary to Government, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department.

3. Special Chief Secretary / Principal Secretary / Secretary to

Government, Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department. Member 4. Commissioner of Industries, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Member 5. Commissioner of Transport, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Member 6. Vice – Chairman & Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh

6. The term of the Chairman, Official Members, Members from Local Authorities and Members from Non-Official experts shall be governed by the Rules issued in the G.O. 4th read above i.e., for a term (3) years from the date on which his/her nomination is notified in the Official Gazette.

7. The Member Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board shall take necessary action in the matter.
