Abstract
Today, it is necessary in each field of exercise to have a desired fitness and do some special practices to acquire it. So, this study has been conducted to analyze the impact of practical methods called elastic on explosive strength and vertical jump of basketball players. This study was quasi-experimental in which pre-test and post- test have been applied. The sample of this study included female basketball players of two clubs in Rasht. They were 47 sample that 20 of them had participated as volunteers; they were about 11 to 16 years old and had at least 6 months experiences of playing basketball. sample in the group of Elastic practices have begun to exercise for 6 weeks, one session per week lasting 50 minutes. For the statistical analysis in this study, Kolmogorov–
Smirnov test and independent and dependent t-test have been used. The obtained results have revealed that both of elastic practices were effective on improvement of explosive strength and vertical jumps in basketball players (P≤0.05). Also, the results have shown that there is no significant difference between experimental group and control group. Based on the results of this study and the results of the previous studies, it seems that Elastic practices to increase the explosive strength and vertical jump effevtive in basketball players.
