The result of testing hypothesis determined that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) stated that there is significant difference between pre-test and post-test of teaching English using comic of eleventh grade students of Senior High School 1 Sampit was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) stated that there is no any significant difference between pre-test and post-test of teaching English using comic of eleventh grade students of Senior High School 1 Sampit was rejected. It meant that there is significant difference between pre-test and post-test of teaching English using comic in eleventh grade students of Senior High School 1 Sampit. It was found that the result of t observed was 2,749 and the t table was 2,473 at 1% of

A test was a set of stimuli presented to an individual in order to elicit responses on the basis of which a numerical score can be assigned. 11 The test was used to collect the data was in the form of writing test, especially narrative writing test using and without comic strips as teaching media. The test consists of the instructions and statement the subjects addressed in their writing and the alternative topics to be chosen. In this sense, the students are assigned to choose one of topics that interest but experiment class chooses the topics based on comic strips and the control class was without comic strips. They was ask to develop the topic into a text containing about 75-100 words. The allocated time to do each writing test was 60 minutes.

Based on free observation on 18 november 2014,the writer found that still many students of SMKN 1 have some problems especially in learning English. They said that English is difficult to learn and especially in learning vocabulary, because the teacher teaches them without media and classical condition. Beside that, they are tried with the learning style or method and then they need something new and interesting. 6 Because of that, the writer tries to use animation pictures as a learning media and as a motivation. It makes the students interesting to learn English.In this study, the writer tried to increase the students’ vocabulary using animation pictures.

. The writers used multiple case study research design in their study. For sample, the writers used 3 SBI junior secondary schools in South Sulawesi Province. The results of the study: First, Most of the students of EMI improved their English because they have extra time to develop their skills outside the schools. Second, the data indicated that EMI students use English more often than their counterpart in no-EMI programs both at home and at schools. Together with that, students in urban areas speak more in mix between English and Indonesia than students in rural areas. Third, most of students responded that they learn English based on instrumental orientation. It is clear to make dissidence. Sultan et al, did the investigation toward the result of the applying english as medium instruction and make comparation with the students who do not use english in classroom.
