The study was designed to evaluate the effect of supplementation of concentrate with different protein sources on live weight gain and economic efficiency of fattening beef cattle (cro>s -bred Sind and crossbred Fl (LS x Br). The protein sources were from fish meal and legumes' leal meal. The legumes used were leaf meal of Leucaena leucocephala. The results of study showed: 1) Replacing protein from fish meal by legume leaf meal in the concentrated feed for fattening cattle was not significant effect to body weight gain and feed intake of cattle; 2) Ad libitum high quality grass of Panicum maximum and supplying concentrate feed with 15.5% CP for fattening cattle, the body weight gain of Sind was 795.22 - 801.33 gram/day and Fl (LS x Br) was 870.11 to 882.33 : 3) in both diets, the grow rate of Fl (LS x Br) was significant higher than Sind but the benefit was not very different.
