Through a survey of 250 households in 7 communes in Tra Cu district. Tra Vinh province, this study evaluates determinants of local farmers' decision to raise snakehead fish. The result point outs eight influential factors, which are (1) Environmental impact; (2) Product risk; (3) Convenience; (4) Production linkage; (5) Right to decide price and time to sell; (6) Government support; (7) Faith; (8) Output price of products. Finally, the author proposes policy implication based on the influence level of each factor.
