Step 1 : Identify and Select the Problem
“What is really causing the difficulty?” This should be thoroughly thought through and agreed upon so everyone is on the same page.
This process requires cooperation, good intentions, and a willingness to be flexible about personal feelings and issues.
Focus only on relevant issues that can solve the problem.
Once the problem is identified, write it down in a clear and concise statement.
Finally , before proceeding , create a goal statement (your final goal)

Step 2 : Analyse the Problem
Now that the problem is defined, analyse it to see what the root cause is.
Once the cause is found, plans can be made to fix it.
If there you lack enough information do some research
Once the information is gathered, take a look at what’s really going on.
Finally, try to come to agreement on why the problem occurs.

Step 3 : Generate Potential Solutions
Now that the problem has been analysed, the group can begin to develop possible solutions.
In this creative step, all possible solutions are identified.
Use brainstorming processes to generate as many solutions as possible.
There are no wrong answers here, and judgments should not be passed on another person’s suggestions.
At the end of this step allow each person to clarify his or her suggestions so there is a common understanding for a later selection. g15n7154 5
Step 4. Select and Plan the Solution
Here we try to figure out exactly what would work best given the circumstances, resources, and other considerations.
Prioritize the solutions into what would work the best.
There may be some possible suggestions that are immediately eliminated.
Discuss the popular solutions and come to consensus on the best one.
At the end the group should have a clear plan of action to track the solution, gather information on how it is working, and make necessary adjustments.

Step 5 : Implement the Solution
This is the action stage
Make sure the solution can be tracked to have information to use in the coming evaluation stage.
This stage requires a scientific approach for observing specifically what is going on with the solution.

Step 6 : Evaluate the Solution
Did the solution work? If not, why not?
What went right, and what went wrong?
What adjustments will better the solution ?
This is an analysis stage for improving the solution using the information gathered during the implementation step.
After analysis the group is ready to act upon their findings and the problem should be solved or better controlled.
