As one of Master of Nursing Program in Indonesia, we have strong commitment to be the part of Nursing Science and Nursing Education development, especially in Indonesia. To strengthen the academic athmosphere and in order to develop Nursing Science and Nursing Education, we proudly conduct Annual Scienti ic Forum (ASF) annualy.
Annual Scienti ic Forum is a scienti ic forum which is conducted to give space for nurses, nurse educators, researchers, users, and other stakeholders to sit together and discuss nursing science and nursing education development.
Annual Scienti ic Forum 2015 conducted on 2-4 december 2015. It will addressed a topic, “Driving Change Through Teaching Learning Innovation in Nursing Education: Academic and Clinical Perspective”. The conference participated by 110 participants. The speakers of this conference comes from varios countries in Asia, i.e. Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, People’s Republic of China, and Singapore.

ABSTRACT
Background: Hemodialysis is a treatment that must be done by patients with chronic renal
failure. Hemodialysis can changes the various aspects of life of patients, and it cause anxiety. One of the method that can used to reduce anxiety is Benson relaxation techniques. This technique is a combination of relaxation and elements of religious beliefs espoused.
Objective: To determine the effect of Benson relaxation techniques for anxiety in patients
undergoing hemodialysis therapy
Methods: Quasi Experiment pre post test design with comparison groups with simple
randomization techniques conducted, the number of respondents is 30 people were divided into intervention group (n = 14) were given relaxation Benson for 2 weeks every day at 6 am and 5 pm and the comparison group (n = 16) were not given the intervention. Anxiety measurements performed twice pretest and posttest with Analog Anxiety Scale (AAS).
Results: The average of respondent’s anxiety pre dan post relaxation tecnic Benson in the
intervention group 21,93 and 13,59. And in the comparison group 17,19 and 12,94. This study showed that there was a signi icant decrease in anxiety scores in the intervention group p=0.001 (p<0.05) and comparison group p=0,014 (p<0,05). The study showed that the intervention group obtained a average difference of 8.36, while in the control group obtained a average difference of 4.25 with p value 0.118 (p> 0.05). There are no signi icant differences in the average difference of anxiety in both groups.
Conclusions: Benson relaxation techniques have no effect to the decrease anxiety scores of
hemodialysis patients.
EFFECTS OF FAMILY SUPPORT TOWARD

ABSTRACT
Background. HIV (Human Immunode iciency Virus) is a health problem that threatens
Indonesia and many countries around the world. Individuals with HIV mostly show the change of characters such as living in psychosocial stress, feeling depression and lack of social support and having behavioral changes. HIV patients face their own conditions without support of friends and family that can affect anxiety, depression, guilty and suicidal thought or behaviors. In the crisis conditions, the family support is indispensable. Provision of social support has many positive effects for the patients.
Objective. To determine the effect of family support on the level of depression and anxiety in
patients with HIV in the Voluntary Counselling and Testing VCT Clinic of Dr. Sudirman Hospital Kebumen
Methods. This is a descriptive correlative study using cross sectional design. The sampling
technique was purposive sampling taken for 50 respondents. The statistical test used to analyse the data is chi-square test
Results. The indings of the research showed the higher level of family support, that is 82%. In
the other sides, the level of depression is in normal level, 76% and the level of anxiety is also in normal level, 56%.The results of the bivariate analysis showed p value of 0.024 (<0.05), which means there was a correlation between family support and levels of anxiety and the results of p equal was 0.001 (<0.05), which means that there was a correlation between family support and levels of depression
Conclusions. There were correlations among the level of family support, depression and
anxiety in patients with HIV at VCT Clinic of Dr Sudirman Hospital Kebumen. Therefore, it is important for nurses to motivate families to provide support to HIV patients.

ABSTRACT
Background. Self-actualization is psychology needs to grow, develop, and ability to use
the skills and also manage oneself so that can be independent from neither internal nor external pressure. According to Maslow, less than 1% people can reach of self-actualization. The achievement of self-actualization by individual not be separated from individual closest persons, like peer support.
Objective. The purpose of this research was to know the relationship between peer support
with self-actualization among Nursing School Students, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University.
Method. The type of this research was non-experimental quantitative with descriptive
correlation. The samples of this research were 153 students, taken by Proportionate Strati ied Random Sampling technique.
Result. The result of statistical test with Spearman Rank was ρ value = 0.015 (ρ < 0.05). It
means that there was a relationship between peer support with self-actualization among Nursing School Students, Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University.
Conclusion. College students should be more active in lectures activities, both academic and
non-academic to increase their self-actualization.
IDENTIFICATION OF NURSES HAND
HYDIENE IMPLEMENTATION

ABSTRACT
Background: The participation number of nurses hand hygiene was low. It caused high number
of Health-care Associated Infections (HAIs). The high number of HAIs caused time of patients treatment much longer, mortality, increased treatment fee and made treatment will be more di icult. Therefore, identi ication of hand hygiene implementation in the hospital would be the irst step to give intervention to increase the nurses participation. The goal of this research is to identify hand hygiene implementation of the nurses in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit 2.
Method: The research used analytic descriptive methode. The samples of the research were
all nurses of RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Unit 2 who work at education ward and 110 act of hand wash. Data analyzing of the research used frequent distribution. The result of the research showed that the mayority of the nurses did not obey doing HH base on the SPO RS PKU Muhammadiyah Unit 2.
Results: The implementation of the 5 moment was done most in 4 moment. The majority of
the nurses did HH incorrectly base on the six steps procedure of HH. They did HH incorrect time base on the HH duration from WHO. The nurses level of knowledge of hand hygiene was in enough level, 11 nurses.
Conclussion: The indings suggest that implementation of nurses hand hygiene must be
improved under supervision by hospital management.

ABSTRACT
Background. Depression is an unfavorable condition for the elderly. When depression goes
untreated, elderly can isolate themselves even allowed to end his life. Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) and Keroncong music allegedly can be used as complementary therapy for elderly depression.
Objective. This study aimed to determine the difference effect of Spiritual Emotional Freedom
Technique (SEFT) and Keroncong music on elderly depression at Jombang geriatric service unit in Pare Kediri.
Method. The method used was a quasi-experimental, with a pretest and posttest design. In
this study, respondents were grouped into two groups, SEFT intervention group (n=10) and Keroncong music Intervention group (10). In both groups performed pretest to determine the score of depression before the intervention, the intervention group was given four therapy sessions, within four weeks, each session is given therapy for 30 minutes. At the end of the fourth week performed post-test in both groups.
Result. In this study it was found that the decrease of score depression between pretest and
posttest at SEFT therapy (p = 0,008) and keroncong music therapy (p = 0,01). By mann whitney u test, posttest obtained, the p value (p=0,760) >0.05 so that there is no signi icant difference between the posttest score in the SEFT Therapy group and the keroncong music therapy group.
Conclussion. It can be concluded that SEFT and keroncong music reduce depression in elderly,
but no more effective between SEFT and keroncong music reduce depression in elderly. SEFT and keroncong music therefore can be used as complementary therapy in nursing for elderly depression. Future implementation need to practice keroncong music and SEFT in Jombang geriatric service unit in Pare Kediri to reduce depression.

ABSTRACT
Background. The development organization is an essential part of the education system in
the universities. Human resources lecturer capabilities as one indicator of the quality of the education agency that it the criteria of the Directorate General of Higher Education. Lecturer must be professional in the line of duty Tri Dharma College.
Objective. to describe the career development, motivation, and performance of STIKES Karya
Husada Lecturer in Kediri.
Method. Positivistik qualitative research, action research, sampling techniques with purposive
sampling, informants who know most about working in STIKES Husada Kediri, then searching for information on informants to be valid and complete. Data collection: observation, interviews and documentation, the data were analyzed: domain analysis.
Results: 1) Development of career planing: further studies lecturer, iling functional lecturer
position, training manners and applied approach, Career Management of: mapping of further studies, illing functional, training implementation manners and Applied Approaach, 2) Motivation Internal: Changing image principal tasks and lecture functions, external work motivation: change the payroll system, 3) Lecturer Performance: Competence Pedagogic: understanding the character of lecturers and training implementation Competency Based Curriculum (CBC), Professional Competence: Adjustment of the activities of Tri Dharma College, Competence Personality: training personality. build teamwork in outbound activities, Social Competence: Open yourself to accept criticism and suggestions, improve internal relations and external institution.
Conclusions. 1) Development of a career, should be followed up, always motivate lecturer

ABSTRACT
Background. Hypertension is a chronic desease which tends to happen when smeone’s age
is getting old. Hypertension can cause complication. One the ways to prevent hypertension complication of the elderly is by using self management.
Objective. This study is aimed to determine the in luence of community based education
program toward self management of the elderly with hypertension in Community Health Center 2 Kebumen.
Method. The study method is quasi experiment with pre and post test control group design.
The samples consist of 60 respondents taken by using cluster sampling technique. The subjects were divided into control group that given routine education and experiment group that given routine community based education about self management for 4 weeks. The data were taken using questionaire about hypertension self management. The data analyses techniques are descriptive and inferensial analyses techniques using unpaired t test.
Results. The results of the study show that the self management total values of the experiement
group were signi icantly bigger after given community based education program compared to the total values before given the treatment (p=0.000). The self management total values of the experiment group were signi icantly higher than control group in the 4th week (p=0.000). The self management sub variables about diet, smoking, physical activities, stress management, body weight control, alcohol, blood pressure monitoring and medication were increased after given community based education.

ABSTRACT
Background. One of factors that determine student success in learning is the selection of
appropriate learning method. Learning methods that are not boring for the students is one learning method that can improve student learning motivation that ultimately might improve student achievement. Cooperative learning is one of the methods that can be applied. The division of a group of shared characteristics of students are the hallmark of this learning method.
Objective. This study aimed to do a review article to know the effectiveness of learning
cooperative learning to enhance student motivation to expect any impact rising encountered during the learning process of cooperative learning.
Research Methodology. A search the article in Proques on articles related to cooperative
learning on student motivation by keyword “effects of cooperative learning on student motivation and achievment” found 3079 articles selected then the 2010-2015 with the same keywords “effects of cooperative learning on student motivation and achievment “is found 543 then we select the article to 15 articles.
Result. Cooprerative learning is one method that can be applied in the learning nursing process.
An increase in student motivation in learning have a positive impact on the achievement of the respondents. Obstacles are often encountered any member of the group who did not participate in the task. The efecti ity of cooperative learning on student learning motivation that impact on achievement.

QUALITY CPR ON THE PARTICIPANT OF BASIC

ABSTRACT
Background. Cardiac arrest is a condition of downturn which is increasing in numbers. Giving
action of quali ied Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is one of actions could improve the sustainable life of the patients.
Objective. The aim of this study was to describe some factors associated with the achievement
of high-quality CPR action toward the participants joining basic life support training.
Method. The study design uses correlational research with analytic cross-sectional study.
The numbers of samples taken are 33 participants in the training of basic life support in the Yogyakarta PUSBANKES 118, and they are taken by purposive sampling technique.
Result. The results showed that the high-quality CPR component achieved is average volume
ventilation with a median of 590; effective ventilation with a median of 7 times, with a median rate of 107 beats / min and incomplete release of the median is 0. Therefore, based on the analysis of Spearman rho showed a signi icant relationship between average volume ventilation with an effective amount of ventilation (p-value 0.022), average volume ventilation by age (p-value 0.024), depth of chest compressions by body weight (p-value 0.038), chest compression depth by height (p-value 0.015), depth of chest compressions by sex (p-value 0.003) and incomplete release by body weight (p-value 0.007).
Conclution. The result of this study shows that high-quality CPR can be in luenced by the
characteristics of respondents such as age, gender, weight and height.

ABSTRACT
Background. Extracurricular activities or student body is a means for students to develop
Reviews their interests, talents, and potentials. Student involvement in the student body can cause stress such as pressure to comply tasks and responsibilities within the limited time period, besides stressors from curricular tasks.
Objective. The purpose of this study is to describe the stress and coping strategies Among
students who engaged in the student body. This study used a cross-sectional descriptive method using accidental sampling Consist of 87 respondents.
Method. Collecting the data used the DASS stress levels and coping strategies used for the Brief
COPE.
Result. The result Showed that most of respondents experience stress in a normal stress level
by 44.8% and 6.9% get severe stress. Coping strategies with religion is the highest average value (6:06) roommates used by the students. Its needed for the student who engaged in the student body to select and practice effective coping strategies to deal with the high stressor as multiple tasking student.

ABSTRACT
Background. Indonesia is one of the world’s biggest contributor to leprosy. A long and
convoluted chain of transmission is complicating factor in the leprosy control program. Physical disabilities as an impact of leprosy causes excessive fear in the community. Negative stigma and leprophobia resulted in lepers often being subjected to discrimination. The low level of public knowledge about leprosy lead to negative attitude of society is thought to be a discrimination trigger.
Objective. The study aimed to identify the level of public knowledge about leprosy, public
attitudes to leprosy patients, and to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards discrimination.
Method. This is a case study conducted in the Tarakan city utilising cross-sectional design.
A sample size of 227 respondents aged from 18-60 years were taken by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument in the form of a structured questionnaire with a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.81 adopted from Tosac (2006).
Result. Results of this study identi ied the level of public knowledge about leprosy is still low;
negative attitudes; and the tendency of discrimination in patients with leprosy. Analysis of the relationship between tested variables using the Mann-Whitney which produces a signi icance level of p = 0.000; so it can be concluded there is a signi icant correlation between public knowledge about leprocy and public attitudes to leprosy patients against discrimination in patients with leprosy. Recommended to intensify activities to increase knowledge for the community.

ABSTRACT
Background. Lecturer has a big role in learning accomplishment of nursing students. The
duty of nursing lecturers in the learning are required to have several competencies such as ability of knowledge mastery, ability of skills mastery and ability in the terms of attitude. Those three competencies must be possessed by lecturers in order to make students accomplish competencies in the form of competency of knowledge mastery, competency of skills mastery and competency of attitude.
Objective. This article aims to describe the nursing lecturers’ roles in relation with learning
process. This explanation hopefully can enhance lecturer’s knowledge in improving quality of learning which affect the accomplishment of nursing students as well.
Result. The accomplishment of nursing students’ competency can’t be separated from lecturers
role in learning process, both in academic ield and practical ield (clinic). Those roles are as an educator, a guide, a leader, a communicator, a role model, an assessor, a counselor, a problem solver, an expertise, a facilitator, a motivator and an inspirator. Twelve roles of nursing lecturers in learning process are the elaboration of lecturers’ main role based on the role of nurse in nursing namely assessor, planner, implementer, and evaluators.

information on teenager’s attitude using pre-experimental research method with One Group Pretes-Posttest design. It was held at High School Piri 2 of Yogyakarta from June to October 2009 with 49 eleventh-class students.
Result. Result of the study indicated that there was effect of delivering drug information on
teenager’s attitude at High School PIRI 2 of Yogyakarta. Result for pretest was good, 13 (35%); enough 5 (14%), bad 19 (51%), while for posttest was good, 20 (54%), enough, 13 (35%) bad 4 (11%) that indicated from p value 0.000 (p<0.05).
Conclusion. Conclusion of the research was that there was effect of delivering drug information
on teenager’s attitude. Suggestion of the research was that teenager should add knowledge insight on drug misuse and their attitude on drug.

ABSTRACT
Background. The problem of post operative radical prostatectomy patients is the occurrence
of urinary incontinence. The long time of applying catheter causes a decrease in sensitivity and the ability of urethra sphincter to control urination. Bladder training is an effort to restore the normal function of the bladder.
Objective. This study was aimed to determine the effectiveness of bladder training combination
and muscle pelvic exercise toward the urination elimination function of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) patients with postoperative Trans Vesica Prostatectomy.
Methods. This was a quasi-experimental study using post test with control group. The
populations were postoperative BPH patients with trans vesica prostatectomy in PKU Muhammadiyah hospital of Gombong, Sruweng and Kebumen. The total samples were 51 patients. The data were urine put in the urine bags taken from the samples. Data analysis technique is the chi-square with post hoc LSD test.
Results. The results show an average volume of urine of Trans Vesica Prostatectomy
Conclusion. It was concluded that bladder training and pelvic muscle exercise were effective
to improve the function of urinary elimination of postoperative BPH patients with trans vesica prostatectomy. The combination of bladder training and pelvic muscle exercise were not signi icantly different with pelvic muscle exercise in improving the function of the urinary elimination.

ABSTRACT
Background. Motivation aims to improve the performance and productivity of work in the
application of surgical patient safety. World Health Organization (WHO) collaborating center for patient safety on May 2, 2007 of icially published the “Nine patient safety lifesaving solution. WHO collected some evidence based research of some hospitals in various countries, USA, UK, Denmark, and Australia, and found unwanted incidence ranging from 3.2% up to 16.6%.
Purpose. To determine correlation between the motivation of surgical team and their obedience
to implement the surgical patient safety on major surgery patients in operating theater of Dr. Soedirman Kebumen State Hospital
Method: Descriptive method and correlational design with cross sectional approach using
questionnaires and Surgical Safety Check List (SSCL) were used. The surgical team work in amount of 24 respondents taken by total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyzes.
Results: There were 17 respondents (70.8%) who have good motivation while only 7
respondents (29.2%) who have mediocre category. There were 21 respondents (87.5%) who included into obedient category whereas only 3 respondents (12.5%) who did not.
Conclusion: There was correlation between the motivation of surgical team and their
obedience to implement the surgical patient safety on major surgery patients in operating theater of Dr. Soedirman Kebumen State Hospital indicated by p value < α (0.027 <0.05).
IMPACT OF TAP WATER USAGE FOR CONDUCTOR
RECORDING ELECTROCARDIOGRAM WITH
GENESIS ARTIFACTS

ABSTRACT
Background. An electrocardiogram is a diagnostic tool that is frequently used cardiac nurse to
assess multiple cardiac abnormalities . Based on the observations made by researchers , some nurses use tap water as a medium for recording ECG and believe tap water is a good medium for recording ECG.
Objective. This study aims to determine the relationship of tap water use on the incidence of
artifacts.
Method. Design studies using the experimental approach (cross -over) Total sample of 46
respondents were divided into two groups. Systematic random sampling technique . relationship tap water use on the incidence of artifacts was tested by Chi Square test.
Result. The results showed a greater incidence of artifacts occurs when using tap water ( 35.9
% ) when compared with the use of jelly ( 5.4 % ) , where the results of Chi Square test ( P = 0.0001 ) showed a positive correlation to the use of tap water the incidence of artifacts while recording electrocardiographic.
Conclussion. In conclusion, the use of tap water as the ECG recording medium can affect the
quality of the recording where the incidence of artifacts is higher when compared with the use of jelly as ECG recording media. Suggestions researchers should avoid the use of tap water as a medium for recording and still use the jelly to record ECG and ECG recording adhere to standard.
