Language is human’s tool to communicate with each other and their way to express or say the idea and thinking.To understand about language in movie script, we need to learn about grammar first especially about mood. By Mood structure of clause we would be describing how language is used to enable the expression of interpersonal meanings, through dialog.In exploring the meaning, Interpersonal meaning (mood) is key of it. By exploring the interpersonal meaning we can find out the speakers purpose and usually it called speech function.
The objectives of this research are to find out the mood types and are taken from the script of Toy Story 3 movie script written bybyJohn Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Lee Unkrichas the data source.
The results of this research are; firstly, there are 212moodin the Woody’s dialog, and they are in different forms. Theyconsist of 97 (45,7%) declaratives mood, 9 (4,2%) polar interrogatives mood, 15 (7,0%) WH-interrogatives mood, 24(11,3%) imperatives mood, 67 (3162%) Elliptical clauses mood, and I did not find Exclamative mood and tagged declarative mood. Secondly, there are 9 kinds speech function realized by mood, they are: 77 statement, 32 question,37 command, 21 answer,16 acknowledgment,25 contradiction, 2 disclaimer, 1 rejection,1 Complianceand I didn’t find Offer, Acceptance and Refusal.

Bahasa adalah alat manusia untuk berkomunikasi satu sama lain dan cara mereka untuk mengekspresikan atau mengatakan ide dan pemikiran. Untuk memahami tentang bahasa dalam naskah film, kita perlu belajar tentang Mood terlebih dahulu.Dengan struktur mood kita bisa menggambarkan bagaimana bahasa digunakan untuk mengekspresikan makna interpersonal,melalui dialog. Dalam mengeksplorasi makna, makna interpersonal (mood) adalah kunci dari itu. Dengan mengeksplorasimakna Interpersonal kita dapat mengetahui tujuan dari pembicara yang disebut fungsi bicara
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan jenis mood dan fungsi bicara yang direalisasikan oleh jenis mood dari dialog yang digunakan oleh tokoh utama “Woody” dalam naskah film Toy Story 3 yang ditulis olehJohn Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Lee Unkrich.
Penelitian ini tergolong ke dalam deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis mood dan fungsi bicara yang direalisasikan oleh jenis mood yang diambil dari naskah film Toy Story 3 yang ditulis olehJohn Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Lee Unkrich.
Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah; pertama, penulis menemukan 212 mood dalam dialog Woody dalam bentuk yang berbeda, yaitu 97 (45,7%) declaratives mood, 9 (4,2%) polar interrogatives mood, 15 (7,0%) WH-interrogatives mood, 24(11,3%) imperatives mood, 67 (3162%) Elliptical clauses mood. Kedua, penulis menemukan 9 tipe fungsi perkataan yang direalisasikan oleh mood, yaitu: 77 pernyataan, 32 pertanyaan, 37 perintah, 21 jawaban, 16 pengakuan, 25 pembantahan, 2 penyangkalan, 1 penolakan, 1 Kepatuhan
