The cyclonic circulation over the eastern and central Arabian Sea off the Karnataka coast, extending up to 4.5 km above mean sea level, tilts southwestward with height. The trough of cyclonic circulation over east central Arabian Sea to west Bay of Bengal adjacent to Andhra Pradesh coast across south interior Karnataka, Rayalseema up to 3.1 km above mean sea level continues. The cyclonic circulation over eastern Bangladesh and the neighborhood extending up to 0.9 km above sea level continues.

The cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan and the neighborhood of 1.5 km above mean sea level continues. Last week's well-marked low pressure area over western parts of Gangetic West Bengal and the neighborhood lay over northern Jharkhand and adjoining Bihar with the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea level on 30 September 2021; it weakened into a low pressure area and lay over southwest Bihar &. A cyclonic circulation lay over central Pakistan and the neighborhood extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level on 1 October 2021; it has become less significant on 2 October 2021.

A Western Disturbance as a trough lay with its axis between 3.1 and 5.8 km above mean sea level approximately alongside Lang. A north-south trough moved from the cyclonic circulation associated with the Low Pressure Area over central parts of Bihar and vicinity to the northern interior of Odisha over Jharkhand and extended up to 4.5 km above mean sea level on 3 October 2021; it marked less on 4 October 2021. A cyclonic circulation lay over central Pakistan and vicinity and extended to 1.5 km above mean sea level on 5 October 2021; it persisted over the same region and was seen on October 6, 2021 at 1.5 km above mean sea level.

Between 1.5 km and 3.1 km above mean sea level on 6 October 2021, an east-west trough flowed from the cyclonic circulation over the Tamilnadu coast to the southeast Arabian Sea between 1.5 km and 3.1 km above mean sea level .

Re-intensification of the remnants of Cyclonic Storm 'Gulab' (pronounced as Gul-Aab)) which emerged in the Gulf of Kutch as a well-marked low pressure area into a severe cyclonic storm 'Shaheen' on 1 October 2021: The Cyclonic Storm 'Gulab ' (pronounced as Gul-Aab)) which emerged in the Gulf of Kutch as a well-marked low pressure area, intensified into a severe cyclonic storm 'Shaheen' on 1 October 2021 and then moved over the North Arabian Sea and adjoining areas of Oman- the bay, to the Gulf of Oman and surroundings, during 1.-3. October. It lay as a severe cyclonic storm 'Shaheen' centered at 1730 IST on 3 October 2021 over the Gulf of Oman. It crossed the Oman coast during 0030 to 0130 hours IST on 4 October, near latitude 23.9°N and longitude 57.3°E, about 120 km west-northwest of Muscat (Oman) as a severe cyclonic storm with a maximum sustained winds of 95- 105 km/h gusting to 115 km/h and weakening to a cyclonic storm early morning on the 4th and centered at 0530 IST on 4 October 2021 over northern Oman and adjacent United Arab Emirates (UAE), about 160 km almost west of Muscat ( Oman); moving further west-southwest.

It then weakened into a deep depression in the morning of the same day and was centered at 08:30 IST on October 4, 2021 over northern Oman and adjacent United Arab Emirates (UAE), about 200 km almost west of Muscat (Oman). and then into a depression on October 4, 2021 over northern Oman and adjacent United Arab Emirates (UAE), about 250 km west-southwest of Muscat (Oman) and as a well-marked low-pressure area on the evening of October 4 over northern Oman and neighboring United Arab Emirates (UAE). During the week ending October 6, 2021, the weekly cumulative monsoon precipitation deviating from the LPA was +37%. Details of rainfall distribution over the four broad geographical regions of India are given in Table 1 and meteorological breakdown of rainfall for both week and season are given in Appendix I and II respectively. This month, equatorial SSTs were near to below average in most of the equatorial Pacific, and above average in the western and far eastern Pacific.

The latest global model forecasts suggest that the current neutral ENSO conditions are likely to persist over the equatorial Pacific during the month. However, sea surface temperatures over the central and eastern equatorial Pacific show a cooling trend. After that it will move eastwards and spread over phases 6,7 & 8 during the remaining part of forecast period (later part of week 1 to end of week 2).

Thus, the MJO phase will support convective activity over the Bay of Bengal (BoB) in the first half of week 1.

Withdrawal of southwest monsoon

4| Over western parts of northwest India and significant reduction in moisture content and rainfall, withdrawal of southwest monsoon has started on 06 October 2021 against the normal date of 17 September. Southwest Monsoon has withdrawn from parts of West Rajasthan and parts of neighboring Gujarat on October 6, 2021.

Squally weather is likely over northwest & westcentral Bay of Bengal during first half of the week
