ABSTRACT

This paper presents the design of an automatic management system for monitoring the status of electric equipment. The system is capable of recording the running time of electric equipment, evaluating the efficiency of equipment use, and calculating energy consumption for enhancing the efficiency and reducing the cost of electricity consumption. The designed system is based on the Arduino Mega 2560 kit and current sensors to measure the current consumed by the electric equipment. The status information of equipment will be sent periodically to a server over a local area nenvork (LAN). In this server, one can easily perform management tasks such as collecting, processing, and analyzing data on the fi-equency of equipment use. It can be expected that the proposed system will be usefiilfor evaluating the efficiency of equipment use at companies.
