EFFECTS OF HIGH PLAN NUTRmON BEFORE MATING ON REPRODUCTIVITY PERFORMANCE OF LANDRACE SOWS

The objective of this study was to evaluate an effect of the feeding intakes at levels of 2.5 kg (control), 3 kg (treatment 1) and 3,5 kg (treatment 2) on reproductive performance of Landrace sows. Eighteen Landrace sows of the 4* parity were allocated according to a completely randomized design with 6 replicates. Results indicated that the high feed intake levels affected total number piglets bom/litter as compared to the control (P-0.01). At bora, piglet birth weight/litter of Ueatments 2 (21.18 kg/litter), 1 (17.69 kg/litter) were higher than Uie confrol (13.77 kg/litter) (P-0.01). At 21 days, piglet numbers of the Ueatment 2 and 1 were higher than that of the conUol (11.0, 9.33 and 8.0 piglets/litter, respectively, P=0.01) and the piglet weightAtter was enhanced as compared to the conUol (68.78, 57.02 and 42.83 kg/litter, respectively, P<0.01). High plane of nutrition before mating improved sow reproductive performance.
