III. REMOTE SENSING BASED OBSERVATION

Sentinel-2 (NDVI) – 25 Feb to 08 Mar 2023

In parts of Rajasthan, Western part of U.P and Gujarat Mustard crop harvesting is in progress.

Harvesting of Wheat crop in parts M.P is in progress.

In eastern states Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Odishsa, Low NDVI values are due to post kharif fallows.

Rabi/Summer Rice crop is started to emerge in Odisha, Karnataka, A.P, W.B and Telangana state

Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is used to quantify vegetation greenness and is useful in understanding vegetation density and assessing changes in plant health.
