ABSTRAK
Kompetensi guru sangat mendukung peningkatan prestasi belajar anak didik sehingga menjadi teladan, kreatif, aktif, inovatif dan mempunyai integritas yang tinggi di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kompetensi guru dalam peningkatan prestasi belajar di SMK PGRI 3 Kabupaten Lamongan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksplanatori, alat pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa di SMK PGRI 3 Lamongan sejumlah 50 siswa. Untuk membuktikan hipotesis penelitian dengan Uji T dan Uji F. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan analisi regresi linier. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada kolom Coefficients terdapat nilai Sig 0,000. Nilai Sig lebih kecil dari pada nilai probabilitas 0,05 atau nilai 0,000 < 0,05, sehingga H1 diterima dan H0 ditolak. sedangkan Variabel X mempunyai t-hitung yaitu 7,890 dengan t-tabel = 2,034. sehingga t-hitung < t-tabel bisa disimpulkan bahwa variabel X berpengaruh terhadap Y. Jadi dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa kompetensi guru berpengaruh signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disarankan guru menguasai beberapa kompetensi, diantaranya kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi profesional dan kompetensi sosial yang baik.

ABSTRACT
Teacher competency strongly supports the improvement of students' learning achievements so that they become role models, creative, active, innovative and have high integrity in school. The purpose of this study was to determine the competence of teachers in improving learning achievement at SMK PGRI 3 Lamongan Regency. This study uses explanatory methods, data collection tools using questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The research subjects were all students at 3 Lamongan PGRI Vocational Schools totaling 50 students. To prove the research hypothesis with T Test and F Test. The data analysis used is descriptive and linear regression analysis. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that in the Coefficients column there is a value of Sig 0,000. Sig value is smaller than the 0.05 probability value or 0,000 <0.05, so H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. while the variable X has a t-count of 7.890 with t-table = 2.034. so that t-count <t-table can be concluded that the variable X affects Y. So it can be concluded that teacher competence has a significant effect on student learning achievement. Based on the results of the study it can be suggested that teachers master several competencies, including pedagogic competence, professional competence and good social competence.

BACKGROUND
The world of education is currently developing more complex and the more rapid education problems faced are not challenges that must be left alone, teaching competence is one of the issues that need
to be constructive input and thought to achieve good and professional quality education. Because teachers as educators who are often associated with students are required to have good competence in the implementation of teaching and learning

who is responsible and authorized for the education of students, both classical and individually both at school and outside the school must at least have the basics of competence as authority in carrying out their duties (Sukmadinata, 2007).
A teacher must master the subject matter, master the ways of teaching and have personality, as his competence. The teacher will fail in carrying out his duties if he does not have these things. So a teacher must have a skill that is the competence to manage educational activities, so that teachers who have competence in teaching will be able to make the learning environment more effective and not boring. In addition to the above, "In order to provide encouragement from outside the student, competence in the process of interaction in teaching and learning can also be an instrument of extrinsic motivation," (Djamarah, 1991).
So that it can be interpreted as a professional and qualified teacher are those who are able to educate and teach students effectively, according to the constraints, resources, and environment. On the other hand, the quality of teachers is closely related to people's recognition that the status of teachers is a professional position. Therefore, teachers are required to improve the quality of teaching competencies and high professional
attitudes. The tasks and responsibilities are not just to make students understand and understand the teaching materials provided, but can make students become educated human beings who understand and understand their position as humans, so that they can benefit themselves and the surrounding environment.
Teachers are professions that require special expertise. The teacher's duties include teaching, educating and training. Teaching means teaching about everything from various sciences that are useful in the development of their thinking abilities. Educating means an activity in shaping humans to occupy the right place in the composition of society and behave proportionally in accordance with the composition of science and technology under its control. While training means effort to acquire skills by training things repeatedly, so that mechanization or habituation occurs. As stated in Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, Education is a planned and conscious effort to shape the learning atmosphere and learning process so that students actively develop their potential to have spiritual power, noble character, self-control, religion , the skills, intelligence, and personality needed by him, society, nation and state.

one of the factors that is very influential in the realization of learning and education goals in schools. According to Law Number 14 of 2005 Article 10 paragraph 1 concerning Teachers and Lecturers (2006: 7) "Teacher competencies include personality competencies, pedagogic competencies, social competencies and professional competencies, which are obtained through professional education". Based on this statement it can be said that the mastery of the four competencies must be owned by every teacher to become competent and professional educators.
This study analyzes whether there is an influence of teacher competence in 3 Lamongan PGRI Vocational Schools on student achievement. Improving student achievement is an important factor as a benchmark for the success of educational institutions in carrying out their activities. So that the action to identify important factors that influence the achievement is the right action to evaluate the achievement of success.
RESEARCH METHODS
The research approach used in this study is a quantitative approach. Quan- titative approach is used to see problems using variables, so that it is easier to understand the evidence statis-tically.
This study uses two variables, the dependent variable and the independent variable. Independent variable (Inde- pendent Variable) is a variable that influences the dependent variable, both with negative influence and positive influence (Ferdinand, 2006). As the independent variable in this study is teacher competence (X). While the dependent variable (Dependent Variable) is a variable that is the center of attention of researchers. The core of a problem is easily seen by recognizing the various dependent variables used in a model (Ferdinand, 2006). In this study the dependent variable is student achievement (Y).
This research was carried out at 3 Lamongan PGRI Vocational School involving 50 students as research subjects. To prove the research hypothesis with T Test and F Test. The data analysis used is descriptive and linear regression analysis. Data analysis using descriptive and linear regression analysis. To explain the research variables, it is carried out with a descriptive and correlative level of explanation. Descriptive explanatory level aims to describe the findings of independent variables from research on leadership and employee performance. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
After the data is obtained, the next statistical test is performed to find out whether the teacher competency variable affects the student achievement of SMK PGRI 3 Lamongan. Whereas the criteria used to see the effect of teacher competency variables on student achie- vement of SMK PGRI 3 Lamongan is by looking at the probability value (p-value) in the Coefficients table. From the calculation results, it can be seen that the value of t is as follows:

Based on the data above, it can be concluded that leadership management (X) on Performance (Y) can be seen in the Coefficients column with a value of Sig 0,000. Sig value is less than 0.05 probability value or 0.000 <0.05, then H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. while variable X has tcount that is 5,800 with t table = 2,034. so that tcount <ttable can be concluded that the variable X1 has a contribution to Y. So it can be concluded
that transformative leadership has a significant effect on employee perfor- mance.
From the results of this study indicate that transformative leadership has a good relationship with employee performance with a regression coefficient of 1.148 and the results of the t test obtained answers that the variable transformative leadership with negative t value indicates that transformative leadership has a contribution to employee performance. So it can be concluded that transformative leadership has a significant effect on employee performance.
F test is conducted to see the significance of the influence of inde- pendent variables simultaneously on the dependent variable or often called the regression equation linearity test.

Based on Anova test or F Test, it can be calculated F value 62.224, which means that it is greater than F table, which is 2.89. The significant value of F arithmetic is 0,000, which means it is much smaller than the value of 0.05. This means that there is a simultaneous positive influence

The results of the analysis stated that the teacher's competence had a significant positive effect on students' achievement. This means that student achievement increases because it is influenced by good teacher competency.
Teacher competency is the ability that must be possessed by teachers from the level of pre-school, elementary, and middle level according to the level and type of education pursued. The teacher is someone who works as an educator and teacher obtained through the level of teacher training. Learning achievement is the result achieved by a person after he has made changes to learning, both at school and outside of school. While in the Big Indonesian Dictionary, what is meant by learning achievement is defined as the results of the effort achieved from what is done or what is being cultivated. A person is considered to be an accomplishment, if he has achieved something the result of what he is trying to do, either because of the results of studying, working, or practicing skills in a particular field.
CONCLUSIONS
Based on the discussion of the results of the study, it can be concluded that the competence of teachers has a
significant positive effect on employee performance. Then the suggestion was conveyed, the teacher as the implementer of education should pay attention to methods and ways of teaching that are good, so that what is conveyed is easily understood and understood by every student. All factors that hinder or support the learning process should be used as a reference to further improve the quality of teaching so that learning objectives can be achieved well. It is recommended for every student to be more active.
