Keywords: Spelling, Misspelling, Addition, Omission, Substitution, Grapheme Substitution.
The researcher would analyze about misspelling words on Non English participants at language development unit in which the participants are from different majors such as: Mathematics, Arabic, Islamic Psychology and other but they study English there. The research used qualitative descriptive as the research approach and for the data collection are used documentation and interview;
interview with the participants and the lecturers.
There are 8 types of misspelling words categorized by experts. The data in this research shows the misspell words contained in documentation was the same as the theory but the most types of misspelling happen to the participants is Omission. Besides, there are still also writing problems which happen to the Participants. According to some experts there are 10 categories but the result shows there are just 4 categories most happen to the participants such as: Spelling, Tenses, Pronoun, and Words and Word Choice. There are also 3 causes of misspelling and there are some points there categorized by experts and in this research shows there are also 3 causes of misspelling but there are some points which is in that category are not happen to the participants such as: a). Deficiency in Knowledge of English Spelling Rules. a.1). The Irregularity of English Spelling Words. a.2). The Inconsistency of English Writing System. b). Linguistic Different.
c). Participants’ Carelessness in Writing.

Hikmah, Nurul. 2020. Menganalisis Jenis-Jenis Ejaan yang di Salah Ejakan pada Peserta yang Bukan dari Jurusan Bahasa Inggris di Unit Pengembangan Bahasa Angkatan 2019/2020 di UIN Antasari Banjarmasin. Skripsi. Jurusan Tadris Bahasa Inggris, Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan, UIN Antasari Banjarmasin.

Peneliti akan menganalisis peserta di unit pengembangan bahasa di mana peserta berasal dari berbagai jurusan seperti jurusan: Matematika, Bahasa Arab, Pisikologi Islam, dll tetapi mereka juga belajar bahasa Inggris di sana. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif sebagai pendekatan penelitian dan untuk pengumpulan data digunakan dokumentasi dan wawancara yaitu wawancara dengan peserta dan dosen.
Ada 8 jenis kata yang disalah ejakan yang dikategorikan oleh para ahli. Data dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan kata-kata yang disalah ejakan yang terkandung dalam dokumentasi sama dengan teori yang ada akan tetapi jenis kata yang lebih banyak disalah ejakan dan banyak terjadi pada peserta yaitu Omission. Selain itu, masih ada masalah penulisan yang terjadi pada Peserta. Menurut beberapa ahli yaitu ada 10 kategori tetapi hasil menunjukkan hanya ada 4 kategori dalam hasil wawancara seperti: Spelling, Tenses, Pronoun, dan Words and Word Choice. Juga Ada 3 penyebab kesalahan mengeja dan juga ada beberapa point dikategorikan oleh para ahli dan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan juga ada 3 penyebab kesalahan mengeja tetapi ada beberapa point yang ada dalam kategori yang tidak terjadi pada peserta seperti: as: a). Deficiency in Knowledge of English Spelling Rules. a.1). The Irregularity of English Spelling Words. a.2). The Inconsistency of English Writing System. b). Linguistic Different. c). Participants’ Carelessness in Writing.
