REGARDING
APPOINMENT OF SURVEYOR
TO CONDUCT TECHNICAL VERIFICATION ON SALT IMPORT
MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND TRADE
Considering:
That in the framework of implementing article 11 of Decree of Minister of Industry and Trade Number 360/MPP/Kep/5/2004 dated 31 May, 2004 regarding Provision of Salt Import, it is deemed neccessary to issue Decree Minister of Industry and Trade on Appointment of Surveyor to Conduct Verivication On Salt Import.
In view of:
Decree of Minister of Industry and Trade Number 360/MPP/Kep/5/2004 dated 31 May, 2004 regarding Provision of Salt Import.
DECIDE :
Stipulate:
FIRST:
Appoint the following surveyors to conduct verivication on salt import: 1. PT. Surveyor Indonesia;
2. PT. Superintending Company of Indonesia (Sucofindo)
SECOND
The two surveyors referred to in the first dictum of this decree shall have the following duties: 1. Perform technical verification and collect data on:
a. Country of origin of salt import.
b. Specification of goods based on HS number. c. Amount and type of salt and.
d. Date of shipment.
2. Include the result of technical verification referred to in the first dictum of this decree in the surveyor’s report which will be used as an import document.
3. Submit written report on the result of technical verification on salt import every month. The report shall be submitted on the first week of subsequent month, to the Director General of Foreign Trade cq Director of Import, Ministry of Industry and Trade
THIRD
Any delay or other technical faults relating to the issue of verification report which are caused by surveyor’s negligence either intentionally or unintentionally, shall be borne by the surveyor based on provision stated by (International Federation of Inspection Agency/ IF/A).

Any costs arising from the issue of this decree shall be borne by the surveyor.
SIXTH
Appointment of surveyor referred to in the first dictum of this decree shall not annul the authority of Minister of Industry and Trade to revoke, change and add surveyors to perform verification of salt import.
SEVENTH
Technical guidelines for the implementation of this decree shall be made by Director General of Foreign Trade Ministry of Industry and Trade.
EIGHTH
This decree shall come into force as it is stipulated
