NUMBER: 594/MPP/Kep/9/2004 REGARDING
APPOINTMENT OF SURVEYOR
TO CONDUCT VERIFICATION ON SUGAR IMPORT
Considering:
a. in the framework of enforcing provision of Article 14 of Decree of Minister of Industry and Trade No. 527/MPP/Kep/9/2004 regarding sugar import provision, it is necessary to appoint Surveyor to conduct verification on sugar import;
b. therefore it is deemed necessary to issue Decree of Minister of Industry and Trade;
In View Of:
Decree of Minister of Industry and Trade No. 527/MPP/Kep/9/2004 regarding Sugar Import Provision.
D E C I D E Stipulate:
FIRST: Appoint Surveyor: 1. PT. (Persero) Sucofindo;
2. PT. (Persero) Surveyor Indonesia. To conduct verification on sugar import.
SECOND : Both Surveyors referred to in THE FIRST Dictum has functions: 1. perform verification and collect data on:
a. sugar loading state of origin;
b. sugar specification covering Number of HS, ICUMSA value and sugar description; c. total and type of sugar;
d. shipping time in the framework of import approval term of adjustment; and e. destination port.
2. draw up verification result referred to in item 1 into Surveyor report used as import document;
3. deliver periodic written report on sugar import verification activity on monthly basis at the first week of the subsequent month to Director General of Foreign Trade cq. Director of Import, Ministry of Industry and Trade.
THIRD: Delay or other faults in issuing Survey Report due to the Surveyor’s negligence, both intentionally or unintentionally, shall be the responsibility of Surveyor pursuant to the regulation applicable in the International Federation of Inspection Agency/IFIA.
FOURTH: In carrying out verification of sugar import, Surveyor is allowed to collect payment upon services rendered from sugar importer whose amount shall correspond to the fair principles.
FIFTH: Any cost arising from the enforcement of this Decree shall be borne by Surveyor.
2 SEVENTH: Technical specification with respect to the enforcement of this Decree shall be stipulated by
Director General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Industry and Trade.
EIGHTH: This Decree shall be effective as of it is stipulated.
