4. RESULT
“The Synergy between Literature and Communication Science as a Means of Cultural Diplomacy

The whole data of respondents were 55 students. These respondents included the millennial generation aged between 19 – 25 years. Followings were the descriptive explanation on the characteristics of culture values and communication model of millennial generation in building their experience in reading literary works.
Based on the interview result and questionnaires obtained the data about characteristics of culture values and communication model of millennial generation in building their experience in reading literary works. The collected data provided the illustration about both things and could be explained as follows:
Analysis of millennial generation‘s culture values in Indonesia Literary and Language Department:
1. Activity in the Literary Community
Based on the data analysis data about the activity in literary community, the researcher found that 60% respondents frequently joined the activity of literary community, 27.28% respondents most frequent joined the literary activity, and only 12.72% respondents who never joined the activity of literary community.
The next analysis result was that 63.63% respondents were very glad to join the activity of literary community, and 36.37% respondents were very glad to join the activity of literary community.
2. Dare to express the creative concept and ideas
Based on the data analysis dealing with the attitude of daring to express the creative, the researcher found that 27.28% respondents had ever expressed their creative concept and ideas in the literary community, and 3.63% respondents highly frequent to express their creative concept and ideas.
Based on the analysis, the dare to express the concept, the researcher found that 36.37%
respondents had ever expressed the concept, 45.45% respondents frequently to express the concept, and 18.18% respondents highly frequent to express their concept.
Meanwhile, in the analysis of keeping the concept (debating), the researcher found that 70.90% respondents had ever debated about the problems emerging in a community, 25,46%
respondents frequently debated about the problems emerging in a community, and 3.64%
respondent highly frequent debated about the problems emerging in a community.
3. Activity Beyond the Literary Community
Based on the data analysis about the respondents‘ activity beyond the literary community, the researcher found that 12.72% respondents had ever conducted the activity in a network beyond the community, 49.10% respondents frequently conducted the activity in a network beyond the community, and 38.18% respondents highly frequent conducted the activity in a network beyond the community.
4. Social Media as a Means of Communication
Based on the data analysis about the social media as a means of communication, the researcher found that 87.28% respondents highly frequent used social media as a means of communication, 10.90% respondents frequently used social media as a means of communication, and only 1.82% respondents had ever used social media as a means of communication.
From the obtained analysis result, the researcher found that there were no respondents who never joined the literary community. No respondents who never expressed the creative concept and ideas in the community. No respondents who never debated about the problems emerging in a community. No respondents who never conducted the activity beyond the community. No respondents who never used social media as a means of communication.
The Communication Model Analysis of Millennial Generation in Building the Experience of Reading Literary Works.
Based on the data analysis dealing with the communication model in millennial generation, the researcher found that all respondents had social media account. The social media owned by

the respondents were varying, including: instagram (85.45%), facebook (83.64%), WhatsApp (70.91%), Twitter (12.73%), Blog (12.73%), Line (7.27), Youtube (3.64%), Telegram (1.82%), and every respondent has more than one social media account.
Of the following analysis result, the researcher found that respondent‘s internet consumption was more than one hour a day. Following was the diagram:
The diagram above illustrated the data analysis result of on all respondents. There were only 9,09% respondents who used internet connecting to the social media for 1-3 hours, 12,73%
respondents connected to social media for 4-6 hours, and the rest was 78,18% respondents connected to the social media more than 6 hours, approximately between 7 and 20 hours.
Respondents time span connected to social media were mostly for the purpose of many things, such as shown in the following table below:

The data analysis result above showed that 90% respondents read literary works when connecting to the social media. The works read by the respondents among others were poetry (78.18%), short story (41.82%), novel (12.73%), and essay (16%). The number of works read was between 1 and 10 titles in a week.
A number of 94.54% respondents felt a great help by the existence of social media in developing their experience in reading the literary works since it was more practice and complete.

Besides, the literary works in social media were easy to be read, more varying, and more practice as they could be read at any time, any place, and in every situation.
Besides social media, another communication model to develop the activity of reading literary works was through Student Activity Unit or Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa, Students Association, Theatre or Drama Group, and colleagues in a small group such as Informal Communication Unit.
The respondents claimed that reading literary works gave a lot of advantages for developing the literary education. Following table provided the data analysis result:
