The impact of business strategy orientation on supply chain integration and business performance

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between business strategy orientation, degree of integration and business performance of organizations participating in the seafood supply chain (catfish and shrimp) in Ben Tre province. 300 questionnaires are sent directly lo the managers or logi.'itics managers of these organizations. 153 valid questionnaires collected in 2 months are included in the analysis. The data is analyzed according to a standard procedure including steps from factor analysis to reliability test and analysis oj SEM structure equation model to e.xamine hypotheses. The results show that strategic orientation combining both low cost and customer orientation has an impact on the degree of integration with suppliers, but does not affect the level of customer integration. In addition, integrations with customers and suppliers have an impact on the business performance of organizations participating ,,j the seafood supply chain in Ben Tre

Tuy nhien, qua tdng quan cho thay cac nghien ciiu hoac chi tap trung vao sir anh hudng ciia timg chidn luoc cu thd nhu chi phi thap (Grant, 1991) hay dinh hudng khach hang (Day, 1984), nhung trong thuc td viec ket hgp giiia hai chian luge tren kha phd bien va sir tac dgng cua no ddn miic do lian kdt chuoi cung img nhu the nao van chua dugc quan tam nhieu, do dd van la mgt van de can nghian ciru them. Ban Tre la mgt tinh thudc mien Tay Nam Bd. Do dd, nhu cau can lien ket de dam bao nang luc canh tranh va xuat khau ra tbj trucmg qudc te la rat cdp thiet trong bdi canh nen kinh td Viet Nam cang hdi nhap sau rdng vdi tha gidi (Dang Thj Tuydt, 2018). Nhung thuc te cdn nhidu doanh nghiep dang kha lung bing trong viec xac djnh chien luge phii hgp dd thiic ddy su lien kdt ehudi va tir do nang cao hieu qua kinh doanh. Vi vay, viec giai quyet khoang trong nghian ciiu tran, ddng thai cung gdp phdn giai quydt van de thuc tiln hien nay trong ehudi cung ling thiiy san tinh Ban Tre cung chinh la muc tiau cua nghian ciiu nay.

2. Co* sd ly luan va t6ng quan nghien cu-u

2.1. Mdi quan he giita lien kit ehudi cung li'ng vd kit qud kinh doanh

3. Phuong phap nghien ciiu

Phiau diau tra gdm 30 cau hdi lien quan ddn cac bien chinh va cac bien kiam soat nhu hinh thirc sd hiiu va qui md doanh nghiep. 5 thang do "Lian kat vdi nha cung ling" va 6 thang do vd "Lien kat vdi khach hang" dugc dieu chinh tir thang do ciia cac tac gia Zhao & cdng sy (2013); 5 thang do vd "Kat qua kinh doanh" tir Li & cdng su (2006) va 10 thang do va "Chian luge kinh doanh" (5 thang do ve "dinh hudng chian luge chi phi thap", 5 thang do cho "dinh hudng chian luge khach hang") dugc dieu chinh tir Deshpande &

Farley (1998), Thang do likert 7 diam (tii 1-7) dugc sii dung cho cac cau hdi eiia bien chinh. Bang hdi dugc kiam dinh thir 61 nha quan ly cd kinh nghiem ve ehudi cung ling dd hoan thien trudc khi dieu tra chinh thirc.

4. Phan tich ket qua nghien ciiu
